If your washer is making grinding or rumbling noises at low RPM, your problem may very well be a defective Hall Effect Sensor. This device measures RPM and direction of spin, and if it transmits bad data, your washer will have a very hard time operating properly. This video will demonstrate how you can troubleshoot your LG washer by testing the Hall Effect sensor by using a standard ohm meter. It also demonstrates how to check the continuity on the stator.
