Very interesting thing to see here. When I took mine out, I didn't know how to disassemble or service them. So I just threw them in the ultra sonic cleaner for half an hour. Sent them of for testing after that. Came back with one new nozzle, the other three were just adjusted. Was very surprised by that. I like how you just gat a tester yourself. Good going! thanks for watching, I thought that if you pay someone to test and repair you only get one set of injectors and a bill, if I bought the test pump (£78) I could test, repair many sets and save some money and milage as it's a 50mile(x2) round trip to the diesel shop. It's nice to know how things work as well. your support is much appreciated Barry

@@manfromthemist1958 It is indeed nice to know how these things work. I paid a mate 25 quid for the test, and 45 for the repair + postage(not UPS 😉). But having the ability to test and repair them yourself should easily be worth that

Great vid Barrie, what state were the fuel filters in when you took them out, I bet they were manky!! Hope the new nozzles bring the results you hope for, Keep it up.

you could scrape the crap off the top of them, I was really supprised that solids had getting that far into the injectors, obviously there was also water sitting in the one with the discoloured spring. eye opener thanks for watching Ken Barry

Hi Barry! Appreciate your clips very much. I am restoring my David Brown 1212 with seized engine. When watching you using the diesel injector tester I tried to source the same tester. I can only find testers with M14 x M14 anf M14 x M12 pipes. So these will not fit for DB Diesel pipes. Can you give me a link showing where you bought yours with imperial threaded pipes? Thank you!

Hi g503gustl I puchased it from ebay throught a seller vintagebikecounty, I've just had a look at his page and he's still advertising them . sorry to ask again, but i am not very experienced with inch threads. Does "Standard Size" mean it is in inch and suitable for DB diesel pipe threads?

I checked the description another time and found this info: DIESEL INJECTOR NOZZLE TESTER - POP TESTER It has Brass Bourdon tube Pressure gauge (100 mm Dial, 3/8 " BSP thread) Range 0 - 420 Bar / 6000 pound (EXCELLENT LONG LASTING LIFE STABILITY WITH PRECISE RESULTS) Aluminum Cast Injection pump. Operate by a High Quality Iron Made Hand Lever. It has Brass Bourdon tube Pressure gauge (100 mm Dial, 3/8 " BSP thread) So "3/8" BSP thread" is the correct one for our DB injectors?

Wery interresting Stuff about Thise injektors to the old girl . I dont know how your outher 3 is look like but the 1 you do there to you brand New tester is Indeed bad I Think.. you can try the outher 3 to See... allso so you can try your tester more....I Think it will be Best ( as you Eat allso) that you must bye new One... bye 4 nossle and 4 nossle covers so you have 4 injecktor's Where all the lower parts is New then SHE WILL RUN LIKE A DREAM . I must do the same here wery Soon. test 4 to my mf65 . I Think 2 off them is not opening at all or They only open wery Little.. She was Running on 50 procent only ...I Think She only fires at 2 cylinders ... I look forward to See more off your tester and injektors .... for us men its interesting Stuff and importent for Our tractor .... did the company send you a New tester or New parts for your tester ???? Hi Michell, the new gauge is still on it's way so I thought I would just play with this one for now, all other injectors tested the same they sprayed diesel instead of atomising it, so it looks like new nozzels all round. thanks for watching and a very good evening to you and all Norway Barry
