Great video. I love your sense of humour Jo. The blackout was hilarious. A couple of years ago, I did blackout my house, the main feed cable blew itself apart under ground.

Going to get one I think, although I hope there is going to be a dual nozzle upgrade at some point, I'm torn between the Ultimaker 3, this Prusa and the BCN3D. Having a second dedicated nozzle for dissoluble supports is a must, but other than that, I've heard nothing but extremely good reviews on the Prusa.

Some time in May-ish, they will have a multimaterial upgrade for it that will handle five filaments at once (with support material as one of them) while keeping with a single nozzle.

Last night my printer ran out of filament for the first time, it just kept on printing with nothing coming out. Filament sensor is turned on in the menu. Tried unloading filament, nothing came out, tried loading filament, can't get it in. So tonight after work have to look at how to clear this and run a test like you've shown here to see if something is wrong with my sensor.

Josef, the black looking bosch-profiles is it possible to order them seperately, or will they be shipped with the mk2,5s-upgrade? They look (and probably are) way more stable compared to the threaded rods. Hope you will see this comment !

Love the stuff! But it dont give you anything if some of the test fails. Example my problem is that it dose not see when the filament is empty. It just continue to print with nothing. But it do detect when i use the autoload new filament.

Don't use sub-folders on the sd card if you want power panic to work; mine resumes a different print when i put the gcode in sub-folders.

When i put my hand for force a crashed... instead extruder move to home position, goes to the full right and keep printing outside oringinal place...

1st off, i love my MK3! That said, i dont see the point of this feature unless ur awake and at home when power failure hapens. I just woke up and my power went out in the office. After i turned the power back on, i selected yes, to continue, and printhead draged my print with it when it moved to heat up. Pointless if the print is not going to stick to the bed when the power gos out in the middle of the night. Im i doing something wrong? I just had a power

Yes it is normal, I have the same issue. Unfortunately, there is no fix and we have to throw the print :( This feature is just there to make the printer a bit "smarter".

@@MichelBricole I've used the "recover print" feature multiple times and it worked. It's also extremely handy if you need to move the printer to another room in the middle of a big print - just unplug it and then transfer it and plug back in. Very nice feature and im glad it's there.

@@TheRAINMan059 I agree the recover feature works perfectly for me too. But if the printer is unplugged for a while and if the bed cools down too much, the print won't stick anymore to the bed. That's the issue...

Please note: it is inly a filament runout sensor. It eint detect a clogged nozzle. And the crash detection only works when the steps are skipped because of external issues. If the printer just skips a step the detectuon wont recognize it

Senf Meister actually... The filament sensor did detect when the nozzle jammed, it does detect whenever filament isn't moving. The crash detection also detects skipped steps from acceleration, as well as hitting something. There's also cooling fan detection to prevent overheating the print head. I've owned mk3 for two months.

Sloth not here. Had a jammed nozzle and the printer was still printing. Had layershifting and the printer doesnt recognize it. Btw support told me this too

mine also continued for a while trying to force filament trough a clogged nozzle and only after the filament jammed the gears. By that time several layers where missing causing a failed print. So far its been reliable as a out of filament detection but not more.

i assume that the jammed nozzle detection sloth is referring to isn't the filament sensor at all but the stepper skip detection.

Objekt se zkroutil a odlepil od podlozky, tryska do nej narazila a cely jej utrhla, ale tiskarna nic nezjistila a pokracovala v tisku. Vlacela objekt a tlacila do nej dalsi material... :(:(

Calling this a "safety" feature is a bit of a stretch & is clickbaiting, given MakerMuse got zapped by your machine (not anything to do with your machine design, but that's what makes use of the word "safety" (coupled with your thumbnail) clickbait here).
