Yes, the Dark Stalkers series was pretty wild! I thought it was a super thoughtful gift idea as well! Thanks for the recent support/interaction with the channel! I appreciate it!
As someone who is just getting into the FGC and custom fightsticks, all of your videos have been so neat! The depth and care you go into giving tips and info for both newbies and vets is really appreciated. (I would love to tag you in my first build to see what you think!) Great work as always!
Thanks for your very nice and thoughtful comment! If you post it on r/fightsticks I'm sure I'll see it, but feel free to tag me so I don't accidentally miss it. Good luck with your first build!
@@HushMySweet1 Absolutely! I saw your other sticks now too. You have such amazing taste! enjoying your videos and the knowledge you are sharing. Thanks
Im surprised this channel has so little views and subscribers! As someone who just bought a fight stick, hori fighting stick alpha for ps5, im hyped and nervous to mod it. Though im a n00b in fighting games I enjoy them nonetheless and this channel is lowkey pushed me to getting one ngl 😂
Someone close to me gave me a Hori Fight Stick Alpha for an early Christmas present I'm nervous to mod it but I definitely think I want to eventually. We should keep in touch and discuss our experiences with it and we should play some fighting games on PS5 together if you're down.
@@ColinLack I dont have a ps5 (yet) the game library is so small 😂 ill get it eventually. And i mainly play Jojo asbr 😂. It's what got me really invested into fighting games, and my friend is telling me to buy guilty gear since its on sale on steam 😂😂
I can almost taste it, lol! It's been a grind for ~7 months but I can definitely see the light at the end of the tunnel. Then, next goal: ten vids in a row with 1K+ views each (within a week of release). Gotta keep climbing!
I love themed fight sticks and controllers. That Anakaris fightstick looks amazing. I I've been customizing controllers for about 5 years now, mostly nintendo switch joycons and pro controllers. A couple of months ago I decided to customize a couple of arcade sticks that I have, It now has become an addiction, just like with my controllers. I made an Astro city inspired built on a 360 razer atrox wich turned out pretty cool. But my favorite one right now is another 360 razer atrox that I themed around Goku Black, so, lots of pink. I really like sanwa buttons, but sanwa doesn't make transparent pink ones. So I took matters into my own hands. I applied things I learned modding controllers. So I went and bought sanwa clear buttons and turned them pink with Idye Poly fabric dye. I took them apart and did some testing first, they came out amazing. You should look into dyeing plastic, with fabric dye, that might open more possibilities for future projects. The cherry on top for that Goku black build, was a 4 star clear dragon ball, ball top, which of course, you guessed it, I turned pink with the fabric dye as well.
Great stuff! I've always been more a fan of minimalist sticks/no characters; but I can't deny that a clear idea + cohesive theme has led to some very impressive builds.
I think some sticks with more general themes can speak to more people (characters can really lock you in), so I can definitely see the allure of minimalist or more general themes. Some of mine are like that, but sometimes it's fun to go whole hog on a specific character. Thanks for watching as always!
@@HushMySweet1 Absolutely. With all of these upcoming FG's I'm catching the fightstick fevevr. Have you ever built in/come by the enclosures made by Eternal Rival? I was considering doing a custom build using one of these but wondered if you had any feedback.
@@deminator1472 Got a fever and the only cure is more fightsticks! Regrettably, I haven't ever used anything from Eternal Rivals, so can't really comment. I'll have to try at some point though. But if you do go down that road, you'll have to let me know your thoughts.
That theme could work pretty well! You'll have to let us know what you come up with and post it on r/fightsticks when you finish! Be sure to tag me so I don't miss it. Good luck with the build.
Wow beautyfull stick I will be happy if mine will look almost good as it looks. I try to make my first stick… or hit stick? I had a great hori arcade stick ones but now i try to make my own one I dicedet to implement a stick because i love it but i wanted an all button layout like a hitbox. I decidet to the put one characters after all of my favorite games. Tekken, street fighter, soulcalubur, mortal kombat, guilty gear, blazblue, darkstalkers. My goal was to make a clean visual so I only drawed the characters outlines in there main colours (like Ryu pure white with the red head band, kazuya in his dark purple colors an glowing eyes). I used two different colors for each character… Its really amature and maybe to much but i really like it and i am proud of it. Its Like a manga panem in dark background and colorfull lines but not completely colourd in. The background is solid gray whit a almost unseeable comands on it like ⬇️↘️➡️🤜 But I am not sure about the button colors. Maybe gold or brown, dark purple and green? Or just make the gray or black because i already used too much color? ( colours I used for the characters: Green, purple, TWO DIFFERENT RED, blue, yellow, white,) Am not sure. Any tips for it? I am really new in this ant this is my first build. Any tip for the build it shelf?
Sounds like quite the stick! As far as tips go, I have a Hitbox-style build on this channel. Most joystick builds will use most of the same parts, so you can use that as a reference. I'm putting together a more thorough general fightstick walkthrough. It should be out in a month or so. But if you have questions, post in the r/fightsticks discord. Lots of experienced modders and builders hang out there, and most are very helpful and willing to talk you through an issue. Good luck with your build!
I've been getting better with Anakaris on VSav! Awesome custom man. Waiting for my nancon stick to arrive soon so I've been lookin into customizing mine too. Amazing work!
Awesome! (Anakaris doesn't seem to be played too often, so that's cool you have found some success with him!) What are you going to do for your theme for the nancon?
@HushMySweet1 either something xmen vs street fighter related or somethin sexy. Like Mai Shiranui and Chun Li. Might try to draw up a vsav character too
I accidentally happened on a theme for my stick due to lack of availability of parts where I live. I was able to scrounge up red Sanwa buttons a Seimitsu LS-56 with a white ball top and a black A4-sized 65mm thick 3D picture frame. And with all those parts I realized that those colors remind me of Aya Shameimaru from Touhou. So now I'm making an Aya stick :P
I will add that idea to my list. I have a Hori Fighting Edge and a Qanba Fighting Stick Alpha I should be able to mess with easily enough. I'm also looking to procure a few more next gen things, so we can see how easily they allow mods and customization. Thanks for watching!
Awesome, thank you so much! I'm an artist and want to make one for my boyfriend, it looks so fun to do! Some of the ones I've seen people make online are so creative
Ah, right on! I help with a subreddit and try to showcase some of the cool ones I see every month in video form (in case you need any inspiration beyond this vid). But yeah! Let us know if you need any help and good luck with your project!
Love it! I actually have a snackbox V2 coming in the mail soon! Wanted to pivot my idea but they're now sadly sold out of the top and bottom panels so I might have to pivot AGAIN! (Also, where can I contact Creeps and Babes the artist? Their style actually works perfectly for a build I want to do with my brother!)
Are you and your brother doing a pair of themed sticks? That sounds pretty rad. I'm curious to see what you come up with! And yeah, I've worked with "creepsandbabes" a lot and he's great. He has a fiverr account so you can just go through there and just tell him the fightstick dude (me) recommended him for this type of work and he'll know what you're talking about. GL!
This might be a stupid question, but once you have a graphic you want to use for the top, how do you add it to the stick? Is it just a printed piece of paper beneath a layer of clear plastic?
Yeah, that's exactly it. Sometimes you can utilize art that's printed directly on the plexi. But 99% of the time it's just going to be a nice print underneath a plexi top panel. Thanks for watching!
Hi. I need some help. I got in to electric guitar modification nowadays and i saw a nickelodeon spongebob with custom art. Now this is wild to me as why no one in the guitar world customizes their own instrument, similar to what we do with fight sticks. Do you think these arcade stick prints would hold great for my project?
Hi! I'm not quite sure I understand. You are trying to apply an arcade-style print to a guitar? Not like a hydrodip or anything? Just like a high quality art print under plexi...or? Give me a bit more info.
I'm trying to mod my Madcatz TES+ because I hate the Shadaloo artwork and I dont know what to put on the artowork. I dont want a character or game theme, I think I prefer something universal that can be timeless, yet I dont know what to put on the artwork The only thing I know is I want the button and stick in purple or Keikou pink
Oh, I get that timeless element. A more general theme can appeal to a lot more people. I started with more general concepts and designs myself for that reason (almost none of my sticks have my tag on them). Today, I have a lot more sticks, so it's easier to go all in on really specific characters or themes. Plus, they are only for me, so it's all good. Good luck on your build! I really like the Keikou color line as well! You'll have to let us know what you come up with.
What would you like to see, specifically? I typically try to support others in the scene and tap some of the resident balltop makers for my custom ideas. Check out my recent video on MoreDoor Gaming and their custom balltops (they can do Nobi style and battops, too). I also list several of the makers in the first little bit of that vid.
Im looking to get a Hori street fighter arcade stick i want to keep change out the art work and put Ryu, Ken and Sagat and the left side and on the right side i would like Xmen Cyclops, Cable and Bishop.
I'm sure you'll find someone great! If you need somewhere to start, then most of the artists on this list still take fightstick art commissions. Just scroll down to the "personalized artwork" section. Good luck!
@@HushMySweet1 that cost 15$ ? My question was if i want to create my own, forexample i find a nice picture that i want to use and print it out, but what is the size to print? Excuse my ignorance on this subject.
@@genantamtam9364 There is a photoshop .psd file on that website link. You don't have to pay anything to use it, but you should download the .psd file because it has all of the correct measurements ready to go and you just need to lay your art over the top. You can use photoshop or gimp.
Must have missed this reply. You can print your own OSBMX buttons in your color choice of filament and then use your preferred switches. If you want something printed on them or inside the button cap, like new button caps you can install on usual button brands, then look at Sleepy's Arcade and BarnesIndustries, both on etsy. I also had Mark Bueno cut me some wooden purple heart button caps. Then, I believe Arcade Shock will soon be offering a button print service, so that's also something to keep in mind. Hope you get what you're after from somewhere! Good luck.
