Really helpful videos👍👍👍..i only can threading portable one.....i wondering if you ever have facing issues with the looper timing??like uppers looper hit the needle..coz brother portable serger always have that problem...some said kinda cheap machine that brother made especially for portable serger....

I have computers, and E4s is big part depends on onboard computers. I think it would be better if I bought Juki MO6814, but I've done already, it is over, and I have to stay with my decision.
Ok I'm back! Lol I got my machine delivered today!!! Just threaded it your right it's pretty much intuitive but your vid helped alot with the first threading thank you! I'm wondering how to get the stitched closer together? I tried the manual and it's showing tightening the screws but they don't seem to want to move so I'm scared to mess with them...😱
I am trying to decide if I want to go a Juki 4816 industrial serger or stay with a domestic model. Automatic threading is not a deal breaker for me. Does this Serger handle light weight (fine) fabric? How is the learning curve in knowing how to adjust tension and differential feed? Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge here!
So I think it depends on how much you sew. It handles light weight and heavy weight with ease. The tensions aren’t an issue because the tension doesn’t have to be adjusted unless you’re going super thin or EXTREMELY thick in my experience. Correct needles and this baby runs like a dream. If you sew more than a few projects invest in one of these. It will last you a lifetime and does amazing work.
I’m probably going to get one use. Do you have a video of what it comes with ? And what should I inspect to make sure I’m buying a good serger.😅Also what needles and thread do I need?

Thank you for the video. I always follow this everytime I need to change my thread. Well this time my serger will stitch when there is no fabric but will not stitch on fabric. I am just using regular cotton. Any idea what could be causing this?
@@giovannataylor7927 so to trouble shoot. I would. Remove needles and all threads. And clean the machine really well get all the lint out. Then reinsert needles (make sure the scarf is facing the back) make sure they are pushed all the way up. Then thread your machine. Make sure to really floss your threads in the tension disks. And thread carefully making sure nothing is caught and placed in the correct order.
Hi, I need so much help I don’t even know where to start. Just bought my dream juki mo-6814s. But, I can’t get it to do anything right. My tensions are all screwed up andi can’t make it stop doing a rolled them, the knife isn’t cutting very well and the fabric gets eaten up when serging and breaks needles. Where do I find help for servicing or just more how to videos? I am about this close to pulling my hair out!
Hi there. So sorry I just saw this. How are you? Rolled hem means your two right knobs need to be loosened for sure. Make sure you’ve inserted the needles all the way and they are the right ones.
Does this one do a safety stitch? I have a juki 6743 da with the safety stitch, and it has three needles. It sews nicely with three or four threads, but I cannot get the safety stitch to work. Any tips at all?
hi hi! i hope you see this i know this vid was posted awhile ago, i'm looking at getting this beast to sew LOOOTs of fleece for my small business does this juki take on thicker fabrics well and sew over seams well? I make fleece hoodies and the bulk is killing my babylock home machine :( need faster and stronger to sew over several layers of fleece....will this be my best bet? thank you!
Yes! I made hybrid fitted diapers and diaper inserts with 2-3layers heavy bamboo fleece 400gsm each with absolute ease! The best part is I can serge a thinner material up to the thicker one without even adjusting tension 98% of the time. This machine is fantastic.
An industrial serger will outlive me. And it’s only a bit more in cost. Domestic or home sergers aren’t meant for many projects. I sew many times though the year. For someone who sews once or twice or small projects a domestic is perfect. I plan to sew my whole life and teach my children so an industrial made more sense for me. Also the quality is more consistent. And I’ve had mine a year and not had to trouble shoot once. But my domestics have many trouble shooting issues. So it’s mostly based on how often someone plans to use the machine weather an industrial is a good investment.
