B H-0 I'm serious about growing the channel this summer! I'm taking it dead serious now! It's such an honor to have so many wonderful subscribers! Time to make some awesome videos!!!
Best ! Santa brought me an 8' cast net. I watched lots of videos with no success. Your video helped me throw almost from the first try. Im excited to take what I have learned from the lawn to the ocean !
One of the first things that I saw when I started watching one of your videos was you throwing a cast net...I IMMEDIATELY subscribed!!!!! It was a beautiful cast and you have shown many others in the many videos that I have watched. Having thrown (revised to "tried to throw")a cast net in my distant past...I can appreciate this video even more and wish you had been around back then!!!
Brought back memories when I lived just outside of Charleston, SC and would go out and catch my shrimp to fish for trout. I have thrown a many bait cast nets in my younger days. Great instruction video!
Son Goku if you watch his videos & listen, you'd know he said it in the previous video doofus. and awhile back someone asked him in the comments section if he could do it!
YEEHAW!! I finally got it! Was pancaking my 10 footer at will today on the boat. Thanx Deermeat. I literally watched every cast net video on RU-vid and yes I do understand the part where you spin the net with your dominant hand right before the release of the lead line. For me I really had to concentrate on holding the lead line for that split second at the end of the throw to really get the back to open up.
I love your videos bro, believe it or not as strange as it sounds, they helped me get over my addiction and they helped me become a better man . thank you so much
These videos!!!!! Please keep them coming everyone I show these videos to finds them as inspiring as I do love you guys pray you be blessed and highly favored and that this will be a breakout year for you and your loved ones
Okay, I'm sold. This method is by far the easiest, and fastest to load, method that I've tried. I juts tried a few casts with my 10-footer and you're right, a perfect pancake almost every time! Thanks
Rob. Thanks for the cast net video. Often I love doing that just as much as fishing. Hey I made a fish dinner tonight and it was a real hit for the wife and some family members. I made the fish where the Bahamian cook showed us using flour, egg wash and Panko bread crumbs. Then I had asparagus loved in butter and olive oil and sweet potato cakes. It was awesome, thanks. David.
Great demo. One of the simplest methods I've seen so far. I like what one commenter suggested: use an outrigger clip around neck instead of mouthing the net. Prevents bacteria from entering your mouth.
Rob, Great video. I grew up in FL and use my teeth also, but I was taught to grab the net a little differently, by the lead line only. By your grabbing it higher up in the mesh, you get a pendulum effect, and your throws look effortless. I generally have to spin once to get my 10 footer to pancake properly. Your pendulum throw looks way easier! I saw how you split the net, and caught the leadline in your teeth, but couldn't really see where the grab was in relation to your teeth. I just know you grabbed it in the middle somewhere, and that you had the leadline between your fingers, but that's about it. If you could show that detail a little better, that would be awesome. Thanks for the great video. I'm hitting the subscribe button. I'll be binge watching soon!
Always coming out with amazing videos, I love this one a lot, i throw and 8 ft and 12 ft all day just for fun and that looks like a really easy way to throw it, thanks for the information and how to video, enjoyed it!!
I've been trying to perfect my cast net throwing, that is helpful. Thank you. I don't do it quite the same way (I've never used my mouth) but maybe I'll give it a shot.
Hi Rob...my wife and I just love, LOVE, L O V E your RU-vid videos. You, Sarah and the baby, re-instated our hope and faith in what true life adventure is all about and how wholesome a family can still be here in America. You and your families exemplify every aspect of "living the American dream" It is especially wonderful to watch how much all the family and friends in your all videos love and respect God, your Country, and all living things. Thank you.
Hi Rob, I would like to see a video of catching your mullet, to crabbing, to cleaning/cooking to eating. Like a crab boil with you talking about your favourite spice mixes; Everglades etc. Those are always so entertaining, makes a person want to get out and do it themselves!
best technique and minimal strain on back, also holding on the left arm for a right handed person allows better fidelity and sensitivity on the dominant hand for the right time to let go of the net which allows for a perfect pancake.
Please make a video of how to properly repair (sew, not a quick tie) holes in a cast net. Love the video, clear, concise explanation, you got another subscriber :-)
