Yea, much better to throw it on the lawn when you are just practicing. Pulling it through water gets tiring fast. If you have any problems let me know and I will help you through it.

Thanks man. I watched your small cast net video for my 4 ft and it helped tremendously. Watching this I’m working on my 8 ft net now. You’re great man and your videos actually make sense because you explain things! Appreciate you brother!

I have always bought live bait but now since I just bought a 7ft net, I’ll be catching all the bait myself. Thanks to you and your video. Thank you so much. Keep Up the good work!!!

Third load is easy to learn, consistently opens, and doesn't require sucking on salt water.

Hey Steve, What is the farthest you estimate a guy can throw a 9 footer with about 11 lbs of lead on the skirt? I’m trying to decide on a max net size that I can launch out maybe 12 to 15 ft before the the perimeter of the net starts to touch the water. Any thoughts on this? I’m going for distance because there are bone fish in my area, however they are weary, and usually seem to turn away once they get within 12 ft of me.

Have the loading technique pretty much done. Release is coming along. Weight really limits amount of practice that can be done. The wind isn't helping. Thanks Steve.
@KeyWestKayakFishing
@KeyWestKayakFishing 7 лет назад
Yea, better to keep practicing as you are fresh so you keep your form correct. You generally aren't going to be throwing more than a couple of times. One and done.

I like the mangrove snapper because they taste good and are plentiful. Great fighters as well. Yellowtail snappers are the same.

He graduated from cast net school and has his own 7' net. He has to catch bait for the both of us now. I get to sit back and stay dry.

I think is better with small net on top of kayak.
@KeyWestKayakFishing
@KeyWestKayakFishing 7 лет назад
Definitely agree. The large one does come into play occassionally, but I could do fine with just the small net.
