Nothing like getting proper BP pitching. Bravo......I had a buddy that was money with BP pitching, (thanks John). Same as taking buckets of Fungos in the infield by someone that really knows how to do it (thanks Russ). Accept no substitutes. I was the worst at both.

I am a 55 year old coach and find myself throwing BP. I wish that they had the screen that you are using at all batting cages. Most of the time I just turn the L screen around and use it backwards compared to most coaches because I throw a few under handed pitches at first to try to get my arm warmed up. Thank you for the video I will try these tips to get better.

Great video and very helpful. So would you say you you're pitching from 20 or 25 ft away from home plate?

How many walking strides from home plate do you set up your screen?

Usually about 12-15 strides

@@BaseballRebellion So about 40' away? Or 30'? My stride is 3 ft but I'm 6'7". I'm trying really had to help my son get better BP so I'm working hard on throwing BP and throw it accurately.

I have a bad shoulder so I throw horrible BP! I am know forced to throw it since I lost my assistant coach. I was told by my sons hitting camp instructor last winter that if I get about 15 feet away and throw under handed that is better warm up BP than trying to throw lollipop lob balls in there. I don’t know if that is good advice or not.
