I use this connection for both backing to line and leader to line; smooth and very strong. Great for dry fly fishing as there's little bulk up front, and the leader doesn't get caught up in the guides like with loop-loop connections.

What weight fly lines are you using this knot on? I have from 1wt to 13wt on hand. Good presentation, with the exception of the guy in the background talking.
