How to Tie a Sliding Snell Rig with Wayne Groomes 

i had to replay this several times to get my 10 leaders done. im going to be humming "eah me? you." for months. definitely the clearest and easiest to follow demonstration of the rig.

Brilliant idea to use braid in order allow the top hook to slide. Definitely give that a try!

Have you ever used two hooks the same size and completely bury the main hook in the bait like a Carp hair rig?? Use the top hook to catch the fish?? I want to use a large hard salted bait with small circle hooks.

I don’t quite understand how you put the braid through the eye of the hook and when you you pull it tight it’s clearly outside of the eye. Is this a magic trick lol?

Exceptional instructional video. Braid is what I use as well. It holds better and is secure whereas mono can slip and when that leading hook slips when a powerful fish is on, such as king or silver salmon, it often means a lost fish. The only thing I do differently is use uglier braid lol.

Can you use spade hooks? Hooks without circles
