the reason we tie them fur down and leather strip up is because its a high riding fly and the tarpon are going to be seeing it from the bottom. so with the fur on the bottom you have the most color and movement where the fish are seeing it.

david mchone I bet if you tie lead eyes to make it sink it would probably work

Its a little big but if you sized it down and add lead eyes it would work great for redfish

Would you flip the rabbit tail then too? So the color is up while it’s in the grass.
