Some comments say it took a bit long. I however say that because you held each step for me to look at, I FINALLY could see and understand the "mechanism" of how the knot operates. I have only watched it once but feel pretty good that because I understand how the mechanics of it work (slides, shaping, etc), I have a higher chance of retaining it in my memory. I have NEVER tied a tie for someone (those I lived with all seemed to know how to!) but I am looking forward to wearing a necktie as an accessory to my outfits and so wanted to learn. Thank you for being a darn good teacher.

I have to wear a tie to school everyday and this video helps me a lot. My mother told me not to tie the tie everyday and just unloose a little, remove and tighten it the next day for school tomorrow. This is the perfect knot. It's balanced so we get a perfect triangle. I have saved this video for years and I always watch it whenever I have to tie a tie. Usually, I tie it once and only loosen it a bit to take it off so it's always the perfect length and I don't have to tie it again. But sometimes, you do need to tie again (like you bought a new one or washed it). That's when you come to save the day!

My son started middle school and his school requires him to wear a tie and your tutorial is the first video that left us with a properly tied tie at the end instead of a too long mess!! My son was in tears of frustration, I was nearly as well to be honest, because his tie kept knotting to low or one of the ends where too long. You're hand movements made it easy to follow along so easily we did it on the first try. You made this single mom very happy this morning thank you again!

I've been watching your video for the past 6 years. I've tied my tie with your help. For some reason, I just couldn't understand others' tying the tie videos. One of the best memories was when I was nominated as a student speaker & was required to make a speech in front of my cohort & program sponsors. I had a great tie during that time. I'm watching this because I'm attending a career fair & hopefully, I can land my third internship. I may need to watch this again when I get my bachelor's, master's & when I finally get married.
