They were dampened, but the dye that I used for the socks was just poor quality unfortunately so it didn't blend well 😅

Hi! I didn't try to dye anything that wasn't white so I can't be 100% sure but I think it would be similar, maybe just a bit darker. Erika Dwyer so I just tried to make this and I’m not sure what happened but I couldn’t get mine to come out as dark as yours and I used the same exact dye.. not sure what happened unless I had a bad bottle. The darker spots looked more of a rusty eggplant color and then the rest that was left white after rinsing turned a purple/gray.

I got the liquid Rit dye and totally just eyeballed the measurements and kept testing little bits on a white towel to see if it was the shade I wanted yet.
