one tip: if you're having trouble getting line through hook eye, get a random piece of line and run it through dropper loop and put both tag ends through loop eye, then slide hook down to the dropper loop and pull. It should pull the loop through the eye. Then you can just take the stray line out.
Another hint for feeding the loop thru the hook eye. Use a piece of braid or thin mono. insert the line into the loop and thread both ends thru the hook eye (or bead) and pull thru.
Brad, I'm fairly new to tying my own rigs. This seems like the best one I've seen, because if you use a snap swivel for the weight, you can't really use bank weights (which I happen to have a bunch of). So thanks for the vid. I've learned a lot from you, Brant, and Matt. Thank you
Great video, the #4 circle is the only hook when using mole crabs- too many folks use too big of hook, heavy line. Some times my try something different whiting/pompano rig is same but with a small sliding bobber between top drop and swivel and no beads or floats on the dropper. Tight lines from the Space Coast!

2 years late with answer. [ If you get a stray piece of line, maybe about 7 inches or so. Put the stray line through dropper loop then put both ends of that stray line through hook eye.] [ then while holding the tag ends of stray line, slide hook down towards loop and pull through.]
