A great beginner fly tying pattern - the Mop Fly is a very odd looking fly, but its looks are deceiving as it imitates Caddis larvae extremely well and is extremely easy to tie. This fly can be put into the same category as a San Juan Worm when it comes to effectiveness and their less natural appearance.
MATERIALS LIST:
Hook: FM60 67 #12
Mop Chenille: Hareline UV Galaxy - Light Olive
Dubbing: Hares Ice Dub - Black
Bead: 3.2 Round - Black
Thread: 8/0 Veevus - Black

Nice vid! Nice fly. But from my experience no need for anything but the mop finger. Wild browns in central PA don't need anything but the mop finger
