Ironically, planking speeds it up for me. I struggle for what feels like ten long seconds, but then I look at the clock and a minute has already passed. It's so weird.
@IO gamer normal but another mechanism in psych. Google it up. If you are drunk and or sick and need to puke, you are having a state of mind, where you experience everything but the time will pass actually faster by, since its traumatic and your mind wants to reduce consciousness
i think its impossible......i have a doubts that.... """"If one man is a time traveler, then the whole world must be a time traveler"""" eg:: .....if a man is go back to meet his parents..... then the parents also there with in the time traveling ....then the whole world will be with in the time traveling... .....am i correct.......????? how a man to time travel alone.....is it possible......?
@@floruby3608 No. It's pretty well known that Piers Morgan rarely interviews someone without acting like a complete flog and interrupting them every time they try to talk. I honestly don't know how none of them have snapped and put one on his chin.
The answer was from the past. If he interrupted he wouldn't have the answer. There are equation in the general sense that makes his interruption possible tho.
Alternate realities/timelines. If you go back in time, you only visit a different timeline where things are meant to have that outcome and you dont change it, but you can't change the past of the timeline you are currently in. Your parents never met in another timeline and there you weren't born, but that doesn't change that your parents met and you were actually born in your original timeline. Nothing is impossible, humans simply have only scratched the surface of what is possible and what exists
@@anonymous-ug7vkbecause according to mathematics from any given point an infinite number of lines can past. Think of a moment as a point in time and from that moment if you slightly change something you are creating a different angle of travel and you will end up in another timeline.
@@LucasButler1 tbf, they are right. You can be sitting down and be travelling to the future. Don't really need to understand relativity to make that point
If someone moves relatively faster than everyone else, it doesn’t mean they are in the future, it means that they are at the right place at the right time and everyone else is lagging behind. Meaning they are technically in the past
If you time traveled and prevented your parents from meeting each other, it would not affect the future. It would just create a new timeline that would branch off where you don’t exist.
Actually there are currently two widely held understandings of time. One is we're in essentially a book going page by page and if we go back we change the future. The other is more like were in drafts of a book and if you go back you just make a new draft. Most time travel stories go with the former as its easy to understand, but this theory also makes paradoxes. So its much more likely the latter is true, and that theory is the one marvel references of parallel universes branching off with every decision and time travel isnt really going backward in youre own universe as much as making a branching universe. If time travel is possible thats probably what it would look like. What's funny is that there are vids on youtube of theoretical physicists debunking the killing your mom before youre born paradox, and saying that how time probably works, with branching universes, would never make it to the big screen cus people are too dumb too understand. Then marvel makes a movie with accurate(to the best of our knowledge) time travel, and whattaya know, people are too dumb to understand it.
He's actually right, kinda, it's called the grandfather paradox But what's he's saying is more of the effect of time travel in general, and also in the universe there's no real past or future as they're all happening at the same time Because our future is our past, so it also begs the question of how does someone who travels to the future get back to the present, because while in the future, how do one go to the past We could say, for someone who travels to the future, that future becomes the past and the past becomes the future and at the same time that future is becoming the past I think that what Hawkins ment with there should be a law of physics that prevents time travel, Because at the end of the day everything becomes a paradox (cause and effect) which makes it useless
In the Quran, one way time is described is as God actively intervening to turn night into day and day into night. This means time is completely subjected to God's will.
I always thought of the idea that going to the last creates a different timeline. So you going back and stopping your parents meeting each other doesn’t prevent you from being born but prevents yourself from being born in that timeline. You create a new timeline where you don’t exist, but you yourself still exists on your current timeline.
If you were to travel into the past it wouldnt be your past it would be an identical one, so if you killed your parents you wouldn't exist in this other universe
Tho supposing that with a wormhole you could teleport to a location which is situated at 100 light years away (which is speculative) and you somehow built a trillion times zoom camera, you could see past events without interacting with them
Imagine travelling to the past, but you don’t have a lock on earth’s position at that time. You could possibly travel back in time to a moment where a new unfriendly universe awaits our crew.
I felt like we all time traveled these past 3 years... No joke from 2020 to now 2023 literally felt like a few months.. It's insane. Never felt like that before, like before a year always feels full and long but with 2020,2021 & 2022 it went by so damn quick it was scary
You never know what your crappy life has prevented, . maybe you shat your pants when you were a kid in a store and the smell was so bad someone who was thinking about destroying the world could not get their plan going on how bad it stank.
If any of you are wondering, the way we can travel into the future is by going around the earth at speeds near the speed of light and coming back down and it’s like a 1:12 ratio (1 month to 1 year) or some similar ratio for how much you travel forward in time
I Belive it has happened we are at the end of time let me explain ok so let's say I go back and kill hitler I erase our universe and replace it so someone did this before us wich 😊
It's always cool to imagine what if we actually can do a time travel through the future. But not the past, bc honestly you will eventually cause a time paradox with someone/something that already existed. You have a chance to mess around and it will results differently in the future It's still cool though
Turns out, it’s possible to do anything in your past. If you killed Abraham Lincoln, he would still exist in your timeline-you actually killed Abraham Lincoln from a different universe. The same applies for preventing your parents from meeting. You’d still exist because you already do. Time forks into a multiverse like a bubble bath. You can’t alter your past because it already happened.
@@Cautionable_Offensebut that’s somewhat nonsensical. His career isn’t really based upon any kind of long running con you could call out. He made a career about distributing scientific research to the public through entertaining mediums like his books or shows, now also podcasts and interviews.
@@airanator1212 I could explain the con to you, but you’d never understand. There’s no way you would ever entertain the idea that pretty much your entire life is a lie, and that people like Neil are a huge part of that lie.
Time is about events of things, so in order to travel time, you have to create such events and that can't be possible. You only can face present and future events.
The only way to do away with paradoxes from time travel to the past is being an observer only, you can't interact with anything in that past nor can anyone in that past observe you, you're essentially a ghost.
What makes more sense is if someone goes in the past, the past already happened. If someone from 2100 decided to come back in time to live now, he is already living here. Nothing will change. It will just be a constant that he did come here.
I love how he explained the Grandfather Paradox within 10 seconds while inside a completely normal conversation. Edit: People say the Grandfather Paradox isn't complicated and yeah, it isn't but it's a huge mindfuck. Understanding the paradox is easy but solving it or coming to a consensus is difficult. It IS actually kind of a mindfuck. If you kill your grandpa you weren't born but that means you didn't kill your grandpa but that's because you didn't exist because grandpa is dead but if you didn't kill him then isn't he alive and you also alive? See, huge mindfuck.
… it took him 20+ seconds to state a single postulate of relativity and then say traveling back in time doesn’t make sense. Not exactly beautiful or eloquent.
You can’t cause a grandfather paradox. If you go back in time, you instantly create a separate timeline. You can cause yourself in that timeline to never be born, but you can’t alter your own past timeline.
@@Victoria-cz9jihuh? You're just completely making this up. Neil directly said in the video that Hawking didn't believe it was possible so what are you even talking about?
I never knew about this until last night. I was standing on the edge of my toilet hanging a clock, the porcelain was wet, I slipped, hit my head on the sink, and when I came to I had a revelation! A vision! A picture in my head!
The Grandfather paradox is best explained by having Multiple timelines, one of those timelines, including the existence of time travel, which our timeline does not have
One thing I noticed about the concept of time machines is how they require you to enter a certain date and whatnot. But the universe technically doesn’t follow the calendar, it’s just something that humans made to measure time.
There is no time at all, but we perceive it. So maybe not a cheese clock but definitely we can build a measurement that shows where you are relative in time as measured for your senses.
I think the only way the universe will prevent time travel to the past, is at a certain point of travel, you will be transported to an alternative time line, to prevent the paradox
Actually travelling in the past is the past for people living in that time you would still be in your future! And even if you change something by travelling in the past i think you are not going to vanish since your future self already exists.... Maybe I didn't make any sense! LOL 😆
Time-traveling will just create alternative timelines. Nothing will happen to you if you go to the past and prevent your parents from meeting each other. There will be another time line where you don't exist, But it won't affect the timeline where you originally traveled from.
@@liashizz What the guy in the video means is that time moves slower the faster you move. So if you are moving very fast, your body ages slower than the rest of the universe. Thats what he means by travelling into the future
The faster you move relative to the speed of light, the slower time passes around you. The people around you will experience things faster relative to you. Hence, you essentially time travel forward.
My current thought process is that either he's completely right and time travels isn't possible or it's possible go back in time but you can only observe things without changing it. Any attempt to change the past will simply fail.
and what if you can change things but not in your reality. that you can encounter yourself, if you go back in time but never in your own reality. but in an alternate universe.
Closest thing to time travel into the past that would be possible would have to be a galaxy quest omega, 13 style device that rearranges the atoms to exactly how they were a short period of time ago
Yes it is possible to go back in time, you just never return back to your own universe after. So you can prevent your parents to meet each other but when you try to go back to your own time you simple go to a different t parallel universe which is slightly different. So in this sense past was part of your future and you just moved in a different future
I kind of knew this intuitively somehow. I think there's a circular nature of reality. If we travel in time in future enough, we might end up in the life similar to one we just left.
That’s what a parallel universe is bro, time travel back goes into a separate universe because the present is your last universe now you went back to a different time
Traveling back in time will either cause a butterfly effect, or alternate dimensions. Either way, the scary oart is going back to your timeline/present. What if you cant go back? You leave your loved ones behind, etc. And get stuck in a time where no one knows you. Your wife has probably not been born, your best friends wont recognize you, etc. Its a risk I wouldnt want to take. Even if I'd love to hug my grandfather again, and hear his voice 😭
Only thing that I see wrong with time travel is that the earth is orbiting and galaxies are spinning as well you’d have to teleport as you’re time traveling so I really don’t know if it’ll ever happen
