He used dia richesse 9.11. Not sure where you’re looking but yes, dia Richesse & dialight both make a 9N.

Listy I don't think so. He used a demi permamnent color for shadow root and base breaking you have to use a developer that will slightly lift the hair

Sarah Koeppel uh... what you just said was a misstatement. It is very possible to do a base adjust or "break the base" with a Demi permanent color if you use a higher developer than 10vol and it is also possible to do a base adjust with a permanent color it's not necessarily the developer it's also the color

If its Demi then no. They don't not lift (in most cases). They will "soften" the root and line of demarcation from lightening. Demis are acidic a deposit only color. Some, like the redken shades eq cream cover plus are just a touch alkaline to help "blend" in gray better and may get a touch of lightening.
