This was awesome to watch! So simple and nothing too fancy and no fancy words and nothing complicated! A brick wall and a simple demonstration on being solid. I love it! Most trainers make things sound complicated or complex, thank you for Keeping it simple!

Hi Ty, yes your horse can get over that. However, you need to teach the horse to "GIVE TO YOUR HANDS". Do that and your rearing problems will be over.

Hi Adria, That depends... it depends on your horse's trainability and athletic ability. It also depends on your ability to adapt the way you use your hands, seat and legs. Most riders don't and then wonder why the training didn't work for them. The most important fact... if you don't ride correctly, your horse won't work correctly.

Kaylee you need to set your stirrups to where you feel you can stand on them with a bend in you leg.. Ride a horse in a round pen with out hands, Stick your arms out to the side of you like a air plane and ride your horse going up and down with your arms in motion with the horse, Sit up and shoulders back and soften your back up. You will be able to develop balance doing this exercise. Do the same thing but next time move your arms in front like scissors. Do theses to exercises and you will develop balance. To understand where you need to be on your butt in the saddle. take your feet and put them up in front of the saddle horn. where you butt is in the saddle is where you need to be sitting. Now move your legs down and stick them in the stirrups with out moving your butt. If your legs wont go into the stirrups have someone adjust them with out you moving your butt. That is your seat. Sit there and focus on feeling that position. There are several things a rider must to in order to have balance. #1 toes up heals down this stops you from going forward, #2 You must have some weight distributed to your legs. Don't ride all on the butt . You need to have your stirrups short enough to here you can put about 45 percent of your weight on your legs. #3 You have to move your hips with the horses gate. You can not sit still in the saddle. # 4. Soften you shoulders down and feel you spine and tail bone on the horses back with your head and chin up. Feel you weight move all the way into your tail bone on the horse. Sit up, Chin up shoulders back and down. This will fix your issues.
