How I’m training for backpacking season and multi day hikes ⤵️
As someone who doesn’t work out consistently, to my surprise, carrying over 30lbs for a multi-day hike up a mountain is challenging 😅. Rucking is intentionally adding weight to your backpack and walking or hiking. I’m not a professional but my shoulder hurt after a 4 day backpacking trip last year and my physiotherapist basically said I wasn’t strong enough to carry 35 lbs over 70km. I had to consistently train if I wanted to go faster and further. So I’m adding 20-30 lbs in my backpack a few times a week while I walk my dog which I have to do everyday anyways.
