This guide is incredible! Most youtubers just give a playlist with bunch of non-movement scenarios. These are the mecahnics that you will need to understand to help you in-game. I've known you for long but I stopped aim training , so I didn't keep track with your channel. I found this vid because I'm trying to learn tracer in overwatch. Tracking with 110% speed is hard, but these scenarios seems to exceed the overwatch speed. Moreover, the movement explanation is very clear. This is the first video I've fully understood how pros track.

@@SilkyCrisp From grinding, I've arrived at 3 simple conclusions: 1. Mirror: Use when unfocused by enemy(Not their current target/enemy's unaware) 2. Anti-mirror: Use when dueling with enemy 3. Unpredictable: Use when need survivability *Some situation will need an adaptive mindset* It's basically just a recap of yours explanation, but when I am consciously thinking about these things, my enemy's movement become a lot more clear and I also see the rhythm of each individuals. Thanks again for more advice!

As a CSGO player ive always done the movement assisted aim, nbut its tricker than that as CSGO requires counter strafing at the same time to make the shot accurate. But good playlist none the less.

Another thing you should think about is making your practice scenario visually resemble the real game as closely as possible. I use brown/grey enemy models with background and ground that resemble buildings and grass. Enemy's should not stick out that much from the background, as they do not in real game (I play RTCW:ET). Also the crosshair should be the same size/color/shape as you would use in game.

In Quake Live there are these extremely short adad strafes that make it impossible for me to micro-adjust my crosshair, and practically impossibly to really see exactly where they are. It is sort of called an adad jiggle, but its slightly more than just a jiggle if a person is good at it. But good grief, that drops my accuracy down by dozens of percentages. Idk if you've seen what I am talking about, but if I could hit that more easily I don't think I would have such low accuracy all the time. The thing about the adad jiggle in Quake is, they don't really stay put... they kind of move around while doing it so its really hard unless you have insane flick timing and mouse control. I think it is probably the most OP shit in any FPS game I've played yet.
@SilkyCrisp
@SilkyCrisp Год назад
if the ad strafes are short enough then just aim for the center of the blurry target. i wouldn't worry about your accuracy, what matters is getting the kill. i do know that after playing a lot of fast strafes scenarios in kovaaks my brain is a lot better at visually picking up the movement than i used to be. hope that helps

What about for the novice movement playlist? Some of the scenarios have 2 and others have 5 so how are we supposed to move in those scenarios (mirror, anti mirror, unpredictable) and how many times do we move with each?
@MasonLogerquist

This is great! I personally have a bigger issue with the short fast strafes. How would I counter this?
@SilkyCrisp
@SilkyCrisp 2 года назад
Play a lot of short fast strafe scenarios in kovaaks to work on your reactivity. Having a higher sens helps somewhat. You can also just aim in the middle of their craziness and if they're changing directions a lot, then they're not actually moving that far from the center

Hi, I was following this guide as closely as I could (shit at movement aiming) until I got to the 3rd scenario in the playlist where the bot strafes very fast. I was completely unable to mirror/anti mirror it as it seems too fast for me rn so what do I do in this situation? Didn't wanna build bad habits as I was just kinda apeing left/right and predicting so I stopped playing. Any advice appreciated, ty.

idk... playing an actual game seems better practice and more fun then those scenarios. If you play shaft arena/LG 1v1 or some overwatch aim training server or even just 1v1 with life steal in any arena shooter on a small map you'll actually learn how to avoid getting hit. I feel practicing mirroring and anti mirroring or trying to move unpredictably only teaches you bad habits because what you want to do ingame is react to where your opponent is aiming and move in the other direction so when he's aiming to your left you want to move to the right. No amount of kovaak's can teach to react to your enemy. I prefer to use aim trainers just to get better mouse control, everything else you're better off practicing ingame imo Also moving in a one direction for a long time is not always bad as long as your opponent is under aiming and not hitting you its actually the best thing you can do. Some arena fps players like sea7 and jil are incredibly good at shaking off your aim and then moving in one direction and they consistantly win shaft fights like that, they always get me with that :D
