do you know that a lot of pythons escape from their owners in Florida during a hurricane and now they have a big problem with them attacking pets and children ?and they predicted that their range of how far and wide they will travel for a food source is as far north as Washington DC?

Is there anything that can be applied to the stem to stop growths? Guessing it would need to be breathable to prevent damp/rot. Just wondering if there was already a product thsy does this

This looks like an American Wisteria, not an Asian variety (based on the look of the young flowers coming out) I could be wrong and hope I am! Not that the American variety won’t be a nice plant, it will, but it won’t become as beautiful and showy as the one you showed a picture of in your last video. That one was an Asian variety, looks like the Chinese kind (my favorite). Those varieties flower profusely once they’re mature enough, and they do it when there are no leaves to steal the flowers’ thunder. The American varieties are much daintier and “tame”, and when they flower they’re not nearly as profuse or beautiful, but sellers of American varieties often sell them by touting how they’re less invasive and vigorous, while showing pictures of their more invasive and vigorous and magnificent Asian counterparts. Deceptive marketing by the sellers. I hope I’m wrong and that this one you planted is Asian, but if it’s American I just didn’t want you to expect it to look like the picture you showed. If it IS American - never too late to plant another one and grow it the same way! I recommend Chinese! Yea they’re more vigorous (arguably more high maintenance), but in my opinion that means they give you more freedom to get creative, more to work with, and thus they’re more forgiving. Love what you’re doing with this one! Wisteria “trees” are my favorite type of garden/landscaping plant in the world

just bought this one and looks like it's been pre trained somewhat. but the darn thing has two large main stems. ig I cut one off it will be like cutting half the tree off. I'm leave both large stems and just have them tied together around the pole

I wonder if you couldn't wrap the stem/trunk to stifle growth?
@crewsvilleadventures
@crewsvilleadventures Год назад
That would probably work.

I had a single gallon pot plant I'm attempting to grow ad a tree, but never trimmed off the lateral growth. Now, not only do I have a bunch of leaves off yhe stem but a bunch of stray gives growing like mad. Would you suggest cut off the branches from the stem? And what about trying to wrap the vines around the trunk? Thank you
@crewsvilleadventures

I would trim everything and only let the top continue to grow if you want it in tree form.

How often can you trim the stalk/trunk? Great job so far!
@crewsvilleadventures
@crewsvilleadventures 2 года назад
You can trim any new growth as soon as you see it starting.

I'm up north. We have the cutest snakes up here. Red belly are the smallest in north America and they eat slugs. Smoth green snakes aren't that much bigger and the garters are also charming fellows.

@@MisterPerson-fk1tx have never seen a red belly snake. Not fond of snakes, but would be nice to have them eat slugs. We have garter snakes too.

@@cherylbee9899 I've got a slug problem. Slimy plant destroyers. I set up snake hides and toad abodes to help protect them from my chickens and guinea fowl. The Guinea fowl are for the ticks but those obnoxious dinosaurs are another topic.
