It is not that Toothless needs direction, but rather his tail was damaged in the first film and the replacement needs a rider to use

I ironically watched this movie with my father in theaters on Father’s Day when it came out.

I recommend the Kung Fu Panda trilogy to be next, you’ll be pleasantly surprised. Don’t let the silly title fool you lol

I remember going to see this movie with my nephew when it was first released, didn't expect to tear up so much everytime Toothless was on screen. The animation was so beautiful lmao

Can we talk about of how Hiccups mothers is a really bad mother? XD Yes, initially she was kidnap, but after she become friends with the dragons she could have return any minute at least for her son, arriving mounting a dragon will clearly tell people "Hey, look, they are not 100% evil, we can at leat try to make peace with some" but nope, screw my family im living free And you cant argue "Maybe she was taking care of him from the shadows" cause she clearly didnt recognize him until she saw the scar Im not agains people searching for his/her own freedom, but if you make a family you have responsabilitys In my opinion, if she was the one that sacrifice her self for Hiccups it will have been the perfect redemption arc, she sacrificing her life for the son she one abandone Well Stoick still needed and arc of learning to lisent and trust Hiccups Dom will be disapointed

I like how hiccup actually got the idea for zippleback gas with his dragon blade from Viggo. I like the fact that it ties in race to the edge

The roar thing that Drago does what actually what the actor did to make their voice deeper for the recording, but it sounded scary so the directors put it into the movie

If you're looking for another good war movie try 'Defiance' from 2008: Movie about the Bielski brothers, a jewish family who hid in the woods and saved hundred of other jewish people and built up a community with them in the woods while hiding from the nazis throughout the whole war.

Me 6 days ago: You're not prepared Seeing the thumbnail: What did I say This second one is WIDELY considered to be the best in the series. I saw each in theaters and LOVED each one. From Hiccup finding Valka to the Bewilderbeast taking control of Toothless till the end of the film this film hits ANOTHER LEVEL. And few animated moments can top Toothless going Alpha

For me Hiccup died in the first one. Assuming his Father's role and actually taking flight himself side by side with the night fury all point to his death. Hiccup never opened his eyes after he fell into the fire with Toothless. By the way, how did Toothless even save Hiccup without the tail or Hiccup riding him when he was knocked off? The answer is Toothless couldn't fly so he was falling with Hiccup. Hiccup died and I think people just don't want to see it.
