Since this video has been made, I have been creating my own DIY Hair butter that keeps my curls soft, shiny and moisturized for 7+ days. Check out the tutorial here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-IeagMfLhpZY.html
Y'all, let me tell you I came upon a similar video with another young lady doing this same routine... let me tell you ... it works ... the hydration is everything , my hair was swinging lol and my curls were beautiful ... it's worth the time!!
My hair had been feeling odd for months. I tried an ACV rinse and it was a little better, but still wasn't right, so I just put it in twists for a little over two weeks 'cause I was tired of dealing with it. I watched your video and you mentioned not putting oils in the mask (which I've been doing for years now 🤣) and I was gonna do a clay mask anyways, so I left out the oil and the appearance and feel of my hair was amazing! The difference was night and day! The problems I had with the weird feeling, the tangles, the roughness, my hair was DIRTY. And you know why it was dirty? My leave in was expired. I'd been using an expired leave in for months and didn't confirm until I got a new jar and saw the texture and color was different. It'd been so long since I saw fresh jar. 😭 Thanks for including that little tip about oils. It has literally changed my hair. 🤣
I use bear grease, and peppermint oil for my hair. The bear grease is a Native American recipe for hair growth. The peppermint oil help the blood circulate in your scalp, so hair growth is quicker.
I gonna do this routine. My curls are super defined on the ends... but the roots on the same strand are frizzy and struggle to hold the curl. ugh hopes this helps
I just came by to say that this works! Background: I have 4a/4b high porosity hair. I never see my curls unless it’s wet or with gel. Soon as it drys my hair is nothing but frizz. Now I was a little skeptical about the prepoo lol, but my hair loved it! It made my hair so soft and moisturized. Soon as I washed the mask out I was able to see my curls immediately. She’s also right in saying NOT to detangle after to keep the definition. I was so preoccupied with the process that I forgot that part. Even with my mistake-my curls are still more defined than they were before. I can’t wait to try it again THANK YOU!
Yaaaaaaaaaas partnership!!!! CHRISSY!!!! So happy for and proud of you honey!!! Look at what your diligence and dedication is yielding!!! GO SIS GO!!! Oh AND we at 11k subbies now!!! This is all just making me smile!!!
Just did a clay wash with an Urban Hydration clay and it was life! My hair is juicy today! I’ll have to incorporate clays in my care sessions from now on!
The clay mask will get you right right!! When I first started using it, I did it once a week for 3 weeks and I could physically see the major difference in my hair, especially when it was wet, it was much less poofy and frizzy and took in way more water into the strands. Its the truth!
Me too!!! Thanks..My.frizz is like 😵😵....😂....I have this clay for my acne...if it could fix my face and hair...what a miracle. And save $$$ !! Products add up! I love all the natural gel options on this channel!
@@sg-cg6lr sure is, mix it (I use water because my hair doesn’t like ACV). You can add oils or you can just add some of the powder in with your deep conditioner
Honey all I need is 22nd Century Natural Products line, no guessing and am down to 3 simple products. now I look forward to hair wash day. Beautiful hair and good luck on your hair journey!
It's best to rinse in the shower standing up right. The hair stays in a downward state. Putting yr head upside down only makes more tangles and takes longer having to comb out all over again. I noticed rinsing standing up makes more sense.
She probably didn’t want to do a full shower since she’s doing this as a tutorial. Of course I don’t know for sure…but that may be the reason for the awkward angle rinse out 😊
I am so grateful for your videos!!! I've always had trouble with frizz, but girl! Your guidance is about to get my straight! Thank you!! This series will be everything
You should rinse it out. The frozen okra didn't have a strong smell. It is like a light pea scent. Fresh okra may give you a different scent depending on how ripe it is.
I was doing this for years and I stopped after I had my son and daughter back to back and my whole routine changed but now they are a lil older I can give myself more time of pampering
@@flowercandy8039 It’s not really grease. It’s just the name for the product. If it clogged your pours and caused hair loss, how come this recipe can grow 7 1/2 inches of silky, thick hair of mine in over a year. Also not many hairdressers used this recipe because it’s unknown to society, but the Native American community.
It's not, a lot of people who have issues with frizz incorrectly "type" their hair. I see it a lot on Facebook. She never talked down on type 4c hair. She is saying she incorrectly "hair typed" herself.
Hey ya'll! I hope this series is very helpful to you! Let me know if you have any questions that weren't covered in week 1's video & I will include it in week 2's video!
Thank you so much for this video. That clay mask is life for my curls. I just need to figure out how to keep the moisture in my hair. I have given up and began to press my hair out. Watching this video makes me want to give it another try.
Thanks for video sis winter is approaching and this will definitely help also is the butter creamy like texture I would love the ingredient list you use thank you again stay safe...
I really want to use hair butters and Shea butter on my type 3c high porosity hair but I feel that my hair doesn’t really like it, it just sits on top of it and being high po my hair sucks everything. But maybe I haven’t been using the right one, I used pure Shea butter and I think that it should’ve been more whipped with essential oils.
My high porosity hair needs oils before the shea butter too...to really penetrate and feel moisturized and not just coated. You could use a curl or twist cream with shea lower on the ingredient list and oils higher up.
When the clay is mixed with ACV it's gentle to the stands, cleanses the hair and leaves it soft. You must follow up with a moisturizing deep conditioner. I'm not sure how other people use it to get dehydrated and abrasive results. That has never happened to me.
I think you should follow the schedule below: Month 1 Week 1: Shampoo, Clay Mask, Deep Condition, Mini Twists with Moisturizer Week 2: Shampoo, Clay Mask, Deep Condition, Mini Twists with Moisturizer Week 3: Shampoo, Deep Condition, Twists with Moisturizer Week 4: Shampoo, Deep Condition, Twists with Moisturizer Month 2 Week 1: Shampoo, Clay Mask, Deep Condition, Mini Twists with Moisturizer Weeks 2-4: Shampoo, Deep Condition, Twists with Moisturizer Then repeat Month 2 each month. I hope this helps!
Great content and new subbie here. Ty. I’ve used bentonite clay but have all ways added oils. How frequently can a clay mask be done? When my hair is wet, the curls look like yours but once it dries, I have poppin curls on the ends but an Afro in the roots. I’ve tried so many products I could open my own store. Most recently I’ve been using the Melanin hair line, but I also have moisture love and strands of faith. Help, I think I’m low porosity with dense hair
@@ChrissyGotTheCoils thanks for your reply. Yes I’ve applied the mask all over smoothing section by section from the roots to ends and I see the curl definition as it’s being applied. I’ve not tried the mask without oils and so I’ll give that a shot to see if it works.
@@joannewilliams4623 did anything eventually work for you? From your description my hair type sounds similar to yours and i currently have this same issue
Hi! You can do this clay mask for 2 weeks straight then switch to shampoo the 3rd week. Then it'll be helpful to do this mask wherever your hair starts to act up, so no more than 1x a month.
I disagree with the part about not adding oil. I always add olive oil to my acv and bentonite mix because it gives it a creamier feel and application. (Minimizes grit when putting it on your hair.) My hair is always ultra clumped and defined after rinsing the clay. (Type 3c/4a, some 4b) And my wash n gos are long lasting afterwards. But I use my mix after shampooing. So maybe thats the difference. Overall, I think the whether or not adding oil will be good for you depends on preference/how your hair behaves.
Hey I have 3C/4a hair and I can’t get my hair to curl at all, I don’t know what to do at this point, it’s not even damaged I just can’t train it to curl, it’s poofy at the top with frizz everywhere, and I’m just now starting my natural hair journey, from getting braids my whole life, do you know what I can do?
If you've just started, it's okay! it will take time for your curls to get back to their natural curl. Keep training them every week and you will see a difference!
I am! I’m pre-pooing with the Mane Choice Heavenly Halo Herbal Hair Tonic & Soy Milk Deep Hydration Pre-Poo. It says, before cleansing with the shampoo, to rinse out. I didn’t see Chrissy rinse out her pre-poo before applying the clay mask.
yeah....I'm always looking forward to your videos. I will sure do this style the next time i show my face on my channel. lowkey you inspire me to create good content. I will be dropping new video in few hours, i will love your support/ feedback, so pls hit subscribe and check it out. Peace.
Ur hair always look so juicy and that's the way I want my hair to look it looks dat away only when wet buy my dry hair is hard to manager wet hair no problem but once it's dry its hard to manager why or can you help I do have normal hair it's curly. To to soft I can use my water bottle spray one time the part I sprayed with the water bottle is soak and wet. Or should I just let my hair stay dry and. Idk. Forgot it. I just love your hair I wish I had 4 c type HAIR
Your hair is wet, that amount of hair you cut off, not trim off, was too much. As against when it is dry. How would hair grow of you keep reducing the length every wash day? Whew! Your hair is healthy though and lovely.
You can also use Aloe Vera or whatever your favorite prepoo is. You have options 😌 I'm just saying from my experience okra gel gave me the best slip to detangle with as a prepoo 👌🏾
Please don’t trim your ends like that. Go to a professional. The way you cut it, you are going to get uneven ends on your hair. And you are probably cutting off way more/way less than you need to depending on how often you trim your ends
@@ChrissyGotTheCoils please trim your hair after a blow out, that way you can see the damaged ends. Use a heat Protector if you're concerned about heat damage.
