Speaker : Nouman Ali Khan - A bit about him
Nouman Ali Khan is the founder and CEO of Bayyinah. His first exposure to Arabic study was in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia where he completed his elementary education. He continued Arabic grammar study in Pakistan, where he received a scholarship for ranking among the top 10 scores in the national Arabic studies board examinations in 1993. But his serious training in Arabic began in the United States in 1999 under Dr. Abdus-Samie, founder and formal principal of Quran College, Faisalabad, Pakistan who happened to be touring the US for intensive lectures in Tafsir and Arabic studies. Under Dr. Abdus-Samie, Nouman developed a keen methodical understanding of Arabic grammar. He further benefited from Dr. Abdus-Samie by internalizing his unique teaching methods and later translating his work into English for the benefit of his own students. Nouman served as professor of Arabic at Nassau Community College until ’06 and has taught Modern Standard and Classical Arabic at various venues for nearly 7 years with over 10,000 students nationwide. Currently he has dedicated himself to a seven-year-long project, of conducting a linguistic & literary focus Qur’anic Tafseer series in English. He stated all the exact reasons of my low confidence. I compare myself with others, I tell my plans to my friends to get validation, I always worry about the end result. But Alhamdulillah I have got this video❤️ From now on i'll focus on myself, and inshaAllah I will comment again here after my target is achieved (probably after two months)❤️

As introvert person since childhood i have been bully for been quite it is not like i’m shy but i just dont like to talk too much even my own family dont like that i’m quite and been just focuse on me it used it makes me insecure when they say “she dont talk that much “ but now as i’m 22 i avoid it .i love how they say i dont talk bcoz it makes me not to make effort to try and talk i love to observe things 😂

Masha Allah.. I really needed this today! I am an IT engineer working as a BI professional in India. I have been married to old school home where.. girls reading books and working soo much.. indulged in their self improvement and not completely devoted to household chores .. is frowned upon. I have been helping with whatever I can do in specific time to help my mother in law.. but still she found my ways “inappropriate” I am a daily listener to your Khutbas Ustadh.. and I must say I found purpose in life with my work .. my love for books and most importantly I love Allah so much.. that everything else is just secondary to me .. But the desperate times need reminders just like this one… thank you soo much for all the effort you are making.. I know and hope you have changed so many lives in a better way…. because my rabb have chosen u for that . Alhamdulillah ❤️

Good for you, you have every right to live and enjoy your life, just like men, who have always had this privilege in society. It is usually men who police and restrict us, but unfortunately there are some women don't like to see other women succeeding in life, and often resent us when they see us excel (especially in our careers). They feel that we should suffer like they had to. I hope that you ignore anyone who tries to deter you from progressing, and keep up the curiosity. Your life is your life. Focus on self improvement and who knows what you might achieve - in sha Allah there are much better things in store for you :)

Ayesha what matters is your worth in Allah's eyes ❤️. Allah knows all you struggles and how much you are trying to please his and people around you. Trust me, to me your so perfect IT engineer + trying to build a connection with Allah ❤️. I pray for you that Allah gives you the strength to go through this. Actually this is even my one of the biggest fear to get married at a old school home which focuses more on culture than religion.

I was in the nursing program and I failed twice. One of the things my teacher said to me was that I needed to be confident. And I think she was referring to being outgoing or speaking up something like that. In my heart I felt confident but when she said that I started focusing on my external features and other aspects of myself. I have felt so lost and confused because I didn’t understand what they meant by being confident exactly.

My whole life I was in a quest as to how to build self confidence, I am 27 now still the same anxious man nothing changed for me. I should have married by now. Because I don't know my worth, I always think of the outcome and refrain from doing things that might have benefited me. I just can't figure out what to do to be confident . Thoughts 💭?

I want to know my goal because I started dreaming about my life after 10 standard. My childhood was taken away from me so I couldn't get to know about myself,my interest amd so on.. i jumped from 1 to 9 standard that's why I'm bad at studies but I want to do something productive with my life and hereafter life tell me what to do? About religion-focus on your relationship with Allah. Never ever listen to Islamophobes or haram police. Research for things yourself while keeping in mind Allah is perfect bcz he is not human. Humans are imperfect so take pride in your imperfections. Many times, religious beliefs and social beliefs don't align. At that time put your faith in Allah. Life is a test my friend!😉 Salam

Quran 41:12 says And He completed them as seven heavens within two days and inspired in each heaven its command. And We adorned the nearest heaven with lamps and as protection. That is the determination of the Exalted in Might, the Knowing. Can anyone explain what "Lamp" he is talking about? I don't see any lamps in the sky.
