Chainlink Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) provides developers with a seamless and secure tool to transfer tokens and send arbitrary messages across blockchains.
In this tutorial, Chainlink Labs Developer Advocate Richard Gottleber provides a step-by-step tutorial on how to send a testnet token, as well as an arbitrary message, from Ethereum Sepolia to Polygon Mumbai.
Chainlink is the industry-standard Web3 services platform. It has enabled trillions of dollars in transaction volume across DeFi, on-chain finance, gaming, NFTs, and other major industries. As the leading decentralized oracle network, Chainlink empowers developers to build feature-rich Web3 applications with seamless access to real-world data and off-chain computation across any blockchain and provides global enterprises with a universal gateway to all blockchains.

Seems very useful given the emergence of many new L2's. Now I need to brainstorm some actual use cases.

can these tokens be stolen from the bridge? if there is a bridge. I don't quite understand the process here. is this different from traditional bridges?

Ugh. Isn't there a web front end that obfuscates all this stuff and wraps it up in a nice UI?

At 11:08 what you actually meant is: "We'll copy our chain selector though for MUMBAI."

how about a chain that's not supported, i guess it's going to just require the router address or is there any other configuration or contract to be deployed on the custom chain to enable CCIP interaction??

So...is LINK required to use CCIP?

Also i'll like to know the compiler version used, Shanghai doesn't compile, the Paris and default i tested with are failing when i interact with the transferTokensPayLINK function

I am trying to implement a code similar to this on my end. However, my destination chain router does not invoke the ccipReceive

No and it is really really expensive if you want to transfer tokens
