Nice video, pretty clear instructions.. just FYI for those who are new, that changed the time frame of when you can change primary owners, i was just doing my and it says my new email has to be managing the account for at least 7 days before i can have it as primary owner, so will be continuing the instructions in 7 days.

hello, just wanted to ask: if I move a brand account (not personal) to another google account, does it need to have a RU-vid channel associated with it for this to work or not? and will comments remain there? it wouldn’t make sense for that to happen since it’s not personal. I’m considering moving it to a different gmail. but I’m worried that comments may be removed during the switch.
Hey man can you do an Updated video on this. I tried to do it as you showed in the video but the settings are changed. It doesn't allow me to add a new owner the top role is a Manager only. If you can you make update video on this will be great.

Just one question, after you move personal (the main channel) to brand channel, then there will be only one channel which is the brand channel, but does youtube again create a new personal channel automatically when you go to the stutio? I understand transferring channels will cause comments to get deleted, but I'm not sure what people mean specifically. Is it the comments that other people made under your youtube videos, comments that your account made on other videos, or both? Also, will playlists be deleted in the process or no? What about community posts?

I've invited myself twice to my personal gmail address but the invite isn't showing up in my inbox, even when I look in "all mail, spam and trash". My logo appears next to the email address so I know it's correct, but it says "unidentified" next to it which may be the problem?
@@iamshaeebu hey its me, comming from my new channel. tried a lot of ways, verifying with different steps, but it never worked. found out the email i used to make my old channel was a school email and couldn't be transferred. so i found it easier just to make a new one channel. your video was helpful in realizing what i had to do though, thanks!
Hello, I'd like to transfer my RU-vid Account to a new gmail ( e-mail ) account. I don't have the Owner option. As well when I transfer to the new e-mail, will I lose the subs, views and what not or will they stay?
Now that RU-vid has introduced handles, it says that I will lose my custom URL after transferring my channel to a brand account, so do you think I would be able to reclaim it as my handle again after merging?
@@iamshaeebu But you see, when moving, it says that I will lose my custom URL which was created before the entire handle system was released. I know it won't work for merging, but that's not what I meant. Custom URLs cannot be changed anymore after the new handle system has been rolled out, so the channel that has the custom URL will be stuck with it forever, unless moved to a brand account, in which case RU-vid tells me that my custom URL will not carry over to the brand account that I am transferring my channel to.
I responded on IG 7 hours ago. I recognized your profile picture there. Just follow the process in the video. I'd do it for you but that would involve things like changing passwords and verification which will be too time consuming. You can also create a new channel to test the process.
Hey I followed your instructions, and everything worked, waiting on the 7 days to transfer my new brand account as the primary owner. However my comments weren't deleted! All my comments now appear as my new personal account's name/channel. Any reason for this? It kinda sucks, I was thinking all my comments were going to be deleted which was ok, but now they are just under my personal account's name, do you know what caused this, and if it's possible to move the comments to my brand account since they are still available?
Comments usually get completely deleted, not moved to a brand account. Not sure I know the reason why it happened. Does the brand account have your videos?
@@iamshaeebu The brand account has all my videos and playlists, etc. it's just the personal account that I moved all my videos from still has all the comments I've made.
@@iamshaeebu Yes, I followed everything in your video before the 3:50 mark, because my channel was a personal one initially, and I wanted to change/move everything to a different email for my videos.

I seem to be having an issue I get to the part where it wants to say " I agree Proceeed" and click the button " Delete Channel" But that option does not appear, I've redone the steps multiple times - google pulls up a webpage stating I need my blue tooth On? and then even after clicking the " I agree button" no other option displays. Can you please help, or is this a google setting issue? Why is the option after agreeing not appearing

Hi a quick one, this is totally out of context but just to know when does youtube start calculating the 4000 watch hrs, is it from the time you started uploading videos or from the time you created your channel and if it's the latter does transfering my channel to a new email register me afresh..
