I really loved you walking us through your thought process when taking this photo. This gives us an understanding of how much work it takes to get one great photo. I believe this might be more important than understanding your retouching process, which is great also.

Unlike most photo tutorials where you start with the final photo, I enjoyed seeing the whole story and process and issues you went through to get your final shot. It's nice to see that it takes more than 1 or 2 shots to get your great photo and that it is ok to take A LOT of hit and miss until you are happy.

The photo is beautiful, but I must say, I like the color version also. The light cascading through the window and going onto that beautiful rug; that was sweet. In any event, good stuff.

I like seeing how many photos you took to get that one. I think we always assume people like you are so good it only takes a few photos to get the "one". Nice to see you're like us. ;) Great photo and great black and white! I've really been getting into black and white a lot so this was cool to see. Thanks!

Serge you are such an expert at not telling anything. I envy your expert ability at illusion creation. The viewer feels as if something important is being explained. It is an art. You have mastered it. Congratulations

I have had similar experiences when I have been to a place with a photo already in mind. Nearly always the 'throw away' photo ends up being the best.

Thanks for the story about your struggle to take the ideal Tower shot; I enjoyed seeing your creative process displayed in both the good and not so good photos. I've followed you on You Tube for a number of years. I've used your "Ansel Adams" presets a lot. A couple of ideas for your next podcast: Select a shot that has potential, and have both you and Scott Kelby do the post camera editing and then compare results (not a contest but a demo of the creative process). A second idea would be to examine your early You Tube sessions, and how your photo editing choices may have changed over the years - examples might be the use of clarity, or totally bringing down the highlights and totally opening up the shadows. You could also show what techniques remain unchanged over the years. Thanks for your many Lightroom ideas.

It was interesting to hear the full story of how you got to this shot (and how you had to keep trying over several days) could you do something about colour grading. What are the best complementary colours for grading. There are also multiple techniques to colour grade in lightroom. Merci Serge !

Love the B&W, but the color version was great too. BTW Serge, there's an expression, "Give a man a fish and you'll feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you'll feed him for a lifetime." How about a video on how to CREATE presets? Peace. -Tom

No photo becomes "fine art" just because it's in black & white. You must first start with a compelling image.

Serge, as usual, another great presentation from you. You asked for comments; Many of us don’t use Adobe products. This is for various reasons.. Photoshop, the best there is, the yardstick by which every other photo manipulation programme is judged by. BUT too steep a learning curve. Lightroom? Insists on importing every photo. Adobe, continually adding on gimmicky pointless add-ons and tweaks, resting smugly on it’s laurels, and to cap it off, the Ransome ware subscription - talk about selling your soul to the devil. Want to bale out? At your peril as far as any unfinished work is concerned. With respect: you’re ignoring so many, many potential subscribers to your channel by not demonstrating your wonderful talents using the many other quality and stable products out there - DXO, Affinity Photo to mention just two. So many times I’ve wanted to buy your products - no Photoshop/Lightroom? Go away. Please, please, do some presentations using some of the alternative programmes out there, many are now excellent and so worthy of your talents. Us non Adobe users would love to have the benefit of your expertise and to be able to buy and use the wonderful packs you sell. Just a thought.
