Thank you so much! I have thought of adding Redbag's Falkreath to my mod list for a while now, and this video sealed the deal for me! You did a very good job of showing us what it looks like, and as a result, I am definitely adding it. In fact, all five of these mods are going into my new mod list! . . . . and that treehouse! Wow! This is why I love Skyrim modding: it allows me to build a world that i would love to live in. And even if i can't have such a magical place in real life, i can enjoy it vicariously through my Skyrim playthrough!
Ah, hearing that is absolutely delightful! So glad you've decided to hop on the RedBag train, I now also have the decision to make to which one I'll settle for now. Thank you for the compliments and have fun with the new mods!!
I’m not sure what accent you have (sounds European maybe North? Don’t know exact country), but it’s my absolute favorite now. Calm, soothing, relaxing, but also adorable with the narration. I don’t play Skyrim, but the in game footage along with your voice makes it very cozy. I hope you continue reading books!
Falkreath has been one of my favourite cities in the game. Aside from the obnoxious young Jarl dethroning his Uncle it's quite a charismatic little place. I wouldn't say happy but not exactly sad either. more revered and honoured. But the first mod has fixed an issue I've had with skyrim for almost 12 years now: Back in Oblivion we had elegant Stone and wooden homes that kept back the wind with proper stone masonry, ruins and artwork in it. Fast Forward 200 years to Skyrim and we see Wood and Thatch houses with holes everywhere. The amount of damp the people must get must be why Skyrim Alchemists aren't persecuted by the Nords like every other magic wielder but seriously. What happened? Surely 200 years of innovation and crafting should push things like home building forward not backwards. S seeing some actual proper wooden housing for once that can keep people warm and dry is definitely a huge plus. Also it looks super cozy, imagine if you could build the hearthfire home like that. I'm not sure on the Arena though, it feels quite out of place as does a lack of the Hall of the dead but those are smaller details compared to actual decent living conditions That free player home looks amazing too as Alchemy is a huge part of obtaining super Overpowered gear to help you out such as Artisan potions, healing potions, regeneration potions and deadly poisons. Did you know I got a mod that lets me plant any plant i want in the gardens? Now with the Alchemy perk Green Thumb I can harvest as much Jarrin Root as I like to create the deadliest poisons out there capable of topping Legendary Dragons in one hit. Absolutely great. that home does look like a nice cozy place to curl up for the night with your skyrim Husband/wife. I see a potential date night application here and I might just make one for Hannah irl when I get the money to! The artstyle on that paper map was cute though. I might consider replacing my map mod for it as I got a hyper realistic 3D world render map. A bit iof a shame that I won;t be able to see Dragons Burning away on the map if I run away quick enough but some sacrifices have to be made right? This way it's a more realistic map than any of them as it's an actual paper map! The Woodcutter's Wife one is Scary. Very good! I've not given Skyrim's books much of a chance myself, I deal with a lot of paperwork at work and also at home so it takes it out of me to read even more in my games when I don't have to. Might give your second channel you mentioned there a look as ngl, you do have a great voice. I may be a guy but I am quite jealous and find myself wishing I had a voice like yours to read to the kids with Yet again another outstanding video!! I'd say you have talent which you do but something tells me you feel natural at this and so it's more impressive that way. This week I found myself checking your channel for a new video to watch and was overjoyed when I found this one. Keep up the good work!!
Ooh another delicious long writeup from Anska! 😳🙏 So thankful you take the time to do these and really let me know your honest thoughts! By the way, your treehouse idea is absolutely adorable. 😍 I'm sure your voice is great for reading stories for your kids, just need to find the right sound and feel to it - it took me a long while to find it! Your compliments are overflowing and grow my ego far too much, so thank you, and now I'll just need to humble myself with doing something I'm bad at (playing guitar). Thanks again Anska and hope you have a great day!
@@BardsCollegeGraduate Haha!! Thank you to yourself!! Besides, compliments always have truth to them so if you get one it's worth feeling good about right? I should also mention they ain't my kids. I may be almost 25 but I've not gotten that far yet! All things in good time after all, why rush? These are my little cousins I help look after and educate. One is 6 and the other is 2. Such a handful or multiple but it's worth it when I see my lessons being put to use in their lives as they grow. Id I do create the Treehouse I'd have to replace the ladder with wooden stairs though, I'm pretty sure Hannah isn't good with heights or climbing so I'm gonna have a few thicker railings there also to help her feel safer and enjoy herself. I can move some of my Herb garden there too to replace the amazing alchemy supplies as well as some fruits. Hayfever aside it could help breath some new, fresher life into the place which Hannah would love as she loves fresh flowers and plants. When it's the one you love you go more than the extra mile right?
i cant use red bags mods this play through (I don't have room in my massive lotd run) but I might later along with the others. what really interested me this time was the map; last time I saw flat map mods they were still new and buggy then completely forgot about them. thanks for the reminder!
Falkreath is not my favorite town, but this mods will come in handy since Falkreath is near my favorite hearthfire home Lakeview Manor, modded by the mod "Lakeview. Manor - As It Should Be". Nice video!!
Now I'm torn. I currently use JKs AIO with Cities of the North for Falkreath, and now idk weather or not to switch to Redbag's. What do you personally recommend?
I adore JK+CotN, and if you feel like you don't need any change, keep them! I love RedBag's Falkreath, but there's a lot of patching and new game is preferred. I would suggest do another playthrough and for that, use RedBag's overhauls! So yeah, depends on your situation :D
@@BardsCollegeGraduate I just tested out Redbag's and I think I'm gonna stick with that. One of my main goals in modding Skyrim is to make the province feel more lived in, and Redbag's adds more homes and NPCs, where JKs + CotN does not.
Please Dear Madam, give a follower your divine voice if not for me or for us do it for Talos! Dont let us be but maggots, writhing in the filth of our own corruption! While you have ascended from the dung of mortality, and now walk among the stars!
Hahahah! You're right, for the honor of Talos it could be arranged. But right now, no - definitely focusing on videos rn but thanks for being cool and wanting such a thing! 👉😎👉
I feel dumb lol. Turns out I was running the wrong version of SKSE. I have the Special Edition, which is the version I downloaded, but I then went and downloaded the Anniversary Edition version and voila, it all fell into place. Not sure why they can't put that on the site lol@@BardsCollegeGraduate
Finally someone who agrees with me!! :D Definitely a 10/10 area, don't want to leave it, ever! Dense and magical forests just amp it up, and the result is incredible 😭💚
I love the area around Falkreath, especially with a good tree mod. This version of Falkreath looks fantastical (is that a word?), like very fantasy-like, fun to try it! Thanks BCG! 🙂
yo i customized caro tuts map to have more detail like ships in the sea and added forgotten islands etc. as well as unique town art etc if you want it?
Thank you so much! Yeah, I've been experimenting with different NPC replacers - it's hard to get it perfect, but I admit, I do like them pretty 😁 Nothing wrong with realistic though! :D
Naaahh there's always something to add more, I know the feeling!! I'm actually installing a Skyrim VR Wabbajack list rn and then won't touch the load order and just finally play :D
@BardsCollegeGraduate ohh have fun. VR is the ultimate way to play Skyrim IMO. I have my own VR wabbajack list up on nexus with over 1200 mods as well, and some of these you recommended are definitely getting added!
I love and hate your videos so much. Love them because of the great production quality and exposure to some awesome mods. Hate them because I always have to add these new mods after watching your videos and I never get to play the actual game RIP
Awesome video! I love Redbags Falkreath! I just wish I could have it as well as the other big Falkreath overhauls, lol. I love The Great Cities of JKs North series too much!
I don’t know how I have missed this channel in all my years of Skyrim, but I have to say this is the most adorable-sounding narrator I think I’ve ever heard, lol. Helped me find a few new mods to use too … And I’m on Xbox.
No wonder, my channel was pretty inactive and just now I've been consistent with uploading = more visibility and new viewers :D So welcome and thank you! Hope you enjoy the mods!
Yess! To be honest it's hard for me to say - for me, Falkreath is always a low fps zone with all the foliage, and every overhaul seems to slow it down even further. So yes, there's a drop (at least on my machine), but can't say for sure what is it compared to other overhauls!
Hey is redbags falkreath compatible with that new tree mod you showcased recently? Great vid and congrats on the channel's success, seems to be doing well and you certainly deserve it.
Hi! First of all thank you - I feel like I've been working hard, and it's so nice to see some results to go with it haha! Yes I used Fabled Forests with RedBag's Falkreath, but I didn't see a patch, and because it adds new trees, some of them are clipping through buildings. What I did was to TFC and disable one by one the couple of trees that were clipping through, so no, not out-of-the-box compatible! (But can be used together, just need to do some manual labour to get rid of the trees haha)
You're right! I guess they're less accessible in a way they might need some more patching than usual, and they're pretty crazy with reimagining the architecture, and some might find that intimidating. I just try to show everyone that they're true works of art, and for some playthroughs, really interesting and gives the game a fresh feeling! 💚
