spss 26, now has an apa look. You can right click on the table and go to table looks as suggested in the first steps in this video. Might save some time :) Thanks poster because i didn't even know you could change the table look before this video

Nice one. I was able to get it right even though my SPSS formatting steps are quite different from his own. Just note that the latest version of SPSS will not show his own step, rather clicking the edit will take you direct to the formatting functions. :)

Save the new look file somewhere else (for example in Desktop), and then cut and paste it in the Looks file. It will say you don't have permission to change the file, but there's a continue option you click so the file should be pasted in the Looks folder!

How do you copy and paste to Word on your Mac?? It does not allow me to do so. I always have to screenshot and insert it as a picture, which then takes away the ability to edit the table in any way. Thanks

Simply click on the table you want to copy, right click > Select Copy or CMD + C and in word you can select paste or CMD + V, let me know if that works for you.

MyProjects Ireland That is how I would do it on a PC of course, but this method does not work on my Mac.

+Vitae27 what happens when you do that on your Mac? I may be able to help you diagnose the problem. Did you try right clicking on the table and select copy special, make sure you click all the three boxes for plain text, rich text format and picture.

Go to finder and then application>IBM>SPSS and so on......when you reach the looks folder, right click and get info. There is an option for permission and sharing at the bottom. Change it to read and write. This should fix the problem.
