So glad Scarlet, that I found your video. I’m moving one (today)..a 10 year old weirdly rooted Hydrangea. I tried taking it out last year cause the neighborhood cats seem to like the Sandy soil around it & half of the plant died Big Time from 🐱 urine. But this plant must want to live in spite because the other half has early blooms on it. These roots are spread out almost 4 feet. So, I’m really glad you mentioned about keeping the living roots nice & hydrated while moving. I hadn’t thought about that aspect. So here goes. Keeping fingers 🤞 for both our Hydrangea. You gave me the courage to try again.🙏🏼
Nice hydrangea! Great content & wise transplanting tips. Currently don't have any hydrangeas, BUT I've been thinking about trying one plant on the east side of my house to see if it will survive or not. It only gets about 3 hours of hot full sun at best (10am to 1pm) and shade the rest of the day. I don't know if that's going to work. Love watching your garden take shape!
