Here is our first video on this channel!! We share some ideas using a U-Haul truck to transport 3 motorcycles from Florida to Connecticut (1,400 miles) and how we did it. Nothing fancy but good old common sense approach.
Nice job fellas, back in 2005 we had to haul 3 bikes from Daytona bike week back to St. Louis after a semi ran our truck and trailer off the road outside of Daytona. Fortunately we still enjoyed our trip got the uhaul for the trip home using lots and lots of straps.
Awesome video fellas! I transported my Road Glide in a U-Haul. I didn't put nearly as much effort as you guys did. I was a nervous wreck the entire ride! Fortunate I made it safely. If I ever have to do it again, I'll use your method. My only concern about those wood rails along the side of the truck is that they are riveted in place.....the wall of the truck is pretty weak. However, I think the way you have them secured to the "transport pallet" is very good! Best wishes for your channel!!
Thank you. The wood rails on the side of the truck held up pretty well and didn't have any problems. We strapped them close to the screws/rivets and didn't go nuts overtightening them. Worked out perfectly.
I am absolutely using your method, when transporting my bike this summer. However, i do jave a question about those buckle/D-rings at rhe bottom of the home built Bike Transport Pallet?
Thank you for the video, I just did this for my 2017 Roadglide and it worked like a charm, didn't even get a scratch on my bike. I wish I could post a picture. We went from Big Bear Ca. to Meridian Idaho. About 890 miles
