Flat sets work great for sure. The blind set is king for me. A mafia set on a trail they are using is a killer. The MB 550 is a great trap i use lots of them. My favorite has become a No BS lures k9 extreme. Great video bud what part of North Carolina are you from?
I’m new to trapping, coyotes/bobcats are a real problem around the homestead…I went on F&T Trading Post site to buy my first trap…lot’s of MB 550/650 Traps to choose from….I need some guidance on which one to start with, I want to start with the best trap Carolina Coyotes would suggest. Don’t want to buy traps that I’ll regret later. Thanks
Outa curiosity, what are live caught coyote bringing now. I'm going to get back to trapping them next year. 20 years ago I was getting 20 to 60 each for them. Depending upon the condition of their foot and their age and sex too. It was better than the fur market though, that was anywhere from worthless to 10 bucks. I still have my traps, but going to start using cable restraints too. I'm in sw MO.
This will be my first year trapping have a dozen traps that I’m boiling as we speak what bait lure and urine do you recommend a couple of each as I’ve watched hundreds of videos and I’m lost cause everyone uses something different so any help would be great thank you

Question, I’m in Arkansas. Do You ever have much trouble with red fox working your set and not getting caught in the mb 550 ? I know the pan tension on the mb 550 is kinda high.

kyletango many reasons. Mostly for making more predator lure and call though. I’ve known many trappers to keep a female yote to collect urine for trapping. If your in the yote catching business, it can get expensive buying industry urine. Also some fur buyers prefer to process yotes themselves for pelting purposes. Many reasons you’d be surprised
