This is how to spend 3 days in Banff National Park, Moraine Lake, Lake Louise and Banff Alberta Canada.
In order of appearance:
Lake Louise - We started day one originally trying to get into Moraine Lake but after being turned away from the parking lot and told to go 5 km down the road to the park and ride service they offer we decide to see what Lake Louise had to offer. Just past Lake Louise Chateau you are hit with beautiful views of Lake Louise and a unforgettable mountain range in the background.
We made our way threw the crowds and hiked an easy 1 hour hike towards the Lake Agnes Tea House. We missed it but there was more incredible views overlooking Agnes Lake and the mountain ranges surrounding it.
Again we were turned around at Moraine Lake and told to go to the park and ride..
So we head towards Banff and went to Lake Minnewanka instead. With more views overlooking more mountains i'd recommending hiking, renting a boat or taking on the the boat cruise if you ultimately want to spend more time at Lake Minnewanka.
Downtown Banff, AB has so many thing for you to see, eat and do that I was only able to scratch the service. We ultimately decided to find free things to do in Banff and found our way to the Bow Falls Viewpoint. Next we crossed the Bow River and found Surprise Corner Viewpoint. Finally we ended day off 1 at the Tunnel Mountain Viewpoint. I'll let you decide which you like better.
Day 2 we made it our mission to get into Moraine Lake. We did it and weren't disappointed. This crystal clear, mountain peaks filled lake is definitely a must visit on any trip to Banff National Park.
After we drive an hour and found our way to Takakkaw Falls in Yoho National Park. This waterfall is magnificent and a must stop if you're traveling between Calgary to British Columbia. The second tallest waterfall in Canada and just something you'll want to see in person.
On our finally day we visited the Cave and Basin National Historic Site in Banff Alberta. This is a great way to kind of get out of the weather and if you enjoy history i'm sure you'll find this place interesting.
Johnston Canyon might be something you're thinking of passing on but don't. It definitely worth checking out. It's only an hour return hike to the lower falls and about 4 hours to see everything here. Just a beautiful hike in between the canyon with more waterfalls along the way.
Radium Hot Springs. Yes we drove a bit to get here just to avoid the crowds at the Banff Hot Springs.

Does anyone know how to get to the national park?? GPS is very confused and shows no roads to the location other than a dot showing where it is.

Nice video!but what about doing it on a motorbike or bicycle.... You would've not had problems with parking and crowded place. But is there a danger of being eaten by a 🐻?

@youtubebydoug
@youtubebydoug 4 года назад
Oh they'll be collecting it, don' you worry. haha I'm pretty sure you can buy them at the entrance of any major parking lot in the area. They pulled us over and had us buy one before we even parked our car. You might be able to save money but online but I haven't looked into it. Good luck and let me know if there's anything I missed and worth visiting next time!?

@@youtubebydoug Because I want to visit it, I want a climate similar to your video hahahaha, I do not want the lakes frozen :( I go from Mexico.

@@adrianatorres245 If you've never been it's gorgeous. Tons of glaciers, wildlife and every things super scenic. If you do make the trip up I would recommend flying into either Edmonton or Calgary, renting a camper and circling around Jasper and Banff. You won't regret it. You can wiki the average temperature in the area but even in the summer it doesn't get that hot. Especially if you're from Mexico.

In my opinion Moraine Lake is so much nicer than Lake Louise 😌 Lake Louise is overrated!

In my opinion every square inch of the rocky mountain range is beautiful. The only thing that could make them better is less of us there at a time.
