@@jennytomas6588 I had my surgery today for it. I literally had nothing come out of it but when I woke up puss came out. My doctor went through with the surgery to remove the rest. My eye already looks back to normal🙌🏾.
I had a surgery before to get rid of it, t'was really really really big. It cost me 25k, but after a year im still having the same thing almost every month. I'm a student so i cant afford any medicine whenever i have chalazion so what i always do is to - use warm water for like 10minutes 3x a day. My Doctor also told me to do it.
Ive tried many home remedies, some work and some just makes things worst, so Ive listed the below as my to do list for those eager to try. Hopefully it will work for you like it did for me. First line of defence, use a hot rice bag compression a few times a day ( 15 mins each time 4 times a day ) use a clean sock or towel, add a small handfull of uncooked rice into the sock and tie it up with a rubberband. Heat in the microwave for a min and with a gentle massaging movement, push the chalazion softly towards the eyelid with the rice sock, be carefull of the heat! it should be warm and not scalding. The cyst should liquify and drain out from the openings at the eyelid slowly. Wash your eyes with baby shampoo afterwards ( mix baby shampoo and boiled water in a spray bottle ) and towel dry. Remember to keep everything extra clean during this time. Dabbing some unrefined castor oil to the chalazion and eyelid with a q-tip can be helpfull after this. i also recommend not using the popular wet compress as i believe sometimes bacteria can be transfered more easily to the eye this way from the water. Do this everyday untill you see a diffrence. l usually see obvious results in about 3-4 days. if this doesnt work and you see it getting bigger redder and sore, quickly get oral antibiotics ( see an optomologist ) as it will be more effective in stopping the inflammation from getting worse and is easier to heal even if you decide to get surgery in the end. if youre still hesitant, you can try using Tobradex antibiotic ointment and eyedrops immediately on your own before seeing the doctor. preventing chalazia from happening again you need to constantly keep your eyes clean frm dirt, dust or any organic matter. washing your eyes well every morning and night. avoiding too much red meat especially beef, lamb, hog or pork fat. keeping your eyes moist with natural tear drops everytime your eyes feel dry. consuming omega 3 oil, either by capsules or by eating more fish. using a heated eye mask is a usefull tool to help with recovery. change your pillowcase and bedsheets often, and always keep your sleeping area clean. Drink plenty of water and most importantly stay away from sugary stuff!!
I got tired of mine and ran a needle through it. There was no pus of course, but it changed the inflammatory response somehow. In a couple of weeks the chalazion shrank down to nothing.
to any Indian or sub-continent people suffering from chalazion, I'll recommend you to use flurisone eye ointment, I had one chalazion for almost a year, I was prescribed neosporin ointment and some tropical drops and it didn't do any wonders for me. after almost a year I went to a doctor he gave me mega cv 650 and flurisone eye ointment and a tropical eye drops, within 1 month my chalazion went away.
Bro i have chalazion in my two eyes can I use this.. is this thing worked for you bro I don't have a confidence because of this stye I tried many things to remove this stye but doesn't worked
I'm pretty sure that I got mine from my wearing facemasks, having to continually take them on and off when going in and out of shops, and the fact that they kept on slipping into my eyes. I've not had them before and I'm 61. I'm finding them difficult to get rid of, and I have had to give up make up completely because it does make them worse. Has anyone else found that mace masks caused eye infections?
Maggie that is utter rubbish. It's likely because your eyes have gotten drier as you got older. I got a chalazion because contact lenses made my eyes very dry, as I have poor quality tears, so oil got blocked. This may be the case for you too if you wear them.
Hand hygiene is the only solution Actually what I noticed is we forget to wash our hands after picking our nose and after some time we inadvertently rub our eyes with the same hand and next day puuufff we get a eye stye.
I got a chalazion on both eyelids.. ive had them since around 2012. I am trying to decide whether I should have surgical removal or not. Is it too late to try non surgical treatment i.e. compress or must i now have surgery as chalazion may have hardened over time?
I’ve had a small chalazion in the far upper corner of my eye for 6 years. It’s very small and doesn’t bother me, but it makes my eyelid look slightly bigger than my other side. I’ve tried warm compresses, the stye meds can’t reach it since it’s not along my lash line but on my inner eyelid, and my eye doctor said it’s so small and unnoticeable to just leave it. Anyone have any suggestions?
I’ve had mine for almost two years. I’m supposed to have a surgical procedure to remove the chalazion out of my bottom eyelid with incision . I suggest you seek medical attention.
Surgery. They will use local aesthetic and make a small incision on the inside of the eyelid and remove it. Procedure literally takes 10 minutes. I've suffered from chalazions my entire life and I've had surgery on three of them.
Ok I have a chalazion went to the eye doctor he gave me a zpac antibiotics pills and to use these expensive eyewipes it's been a week and it's like it goes away and keeps coming back sucks ugh
@@DuttaEduTube I had went back again got more antibiotics and dr told me I need to keep using ocusoft and use the scrub bought some on Amazon it finally went away
I have got one I knew about two ways to handle a chalizion first treatment is a basic treatment home remedy you should stick to it and be patient till u get the result ! Heat and massage both one to soften the hard oil clogged on ur lid upper or lower then massage gently so it will go with eye secretion ! Use clean towel wash hands dont reuse the towel before washing it before every time use! Use ointment one cm only inside eyes dont put more to protect from side effects! I feel that is better than expensive and painful surgeries so need to work out on it and be patient to get the result .. it is worth it !! I have ten days before dr follow up wish all the luck for me and all to cure !
I am suffering from 5th months of my pregnancy, doctor prescribed me ointment and drops, he said due to hormone changes in pregnancy, it happens, sometimes I relief, but now my 9th months of pregnancy is going on, and my eye condition is worse than previous, my one upper eyelid is swelling and paining also, I used ointment also... Still is there😢
I've had mine for 2 months now. Doctors had me on several different antibiotics and ointments, which made no difference. I finally went to an ophthalmologist who prescribed Maxitrol ointment, less than a week and all inflammation and swelling is gone. The chalazion is still there, but no swelling makes such a big difference
I find what worked best for me was putting a towel in hot water then doing the eye massages for at least twenty minutes four to five times a day it took my chalazion away within a week. I had it for two weeks. My doctor told me Some people have it for months or even years!
Sir my 2.6years old son has developed the pimple kid of thing when we approached doctor he said to apply warm hot cloth on to the effected area and if it doesn't get cured he says a small surgery called I&C has to be carried out. Could you please suggest us to what to do?? we are worried.
@@Elvis-guy1973 I just got Chloramphenicol so hopefully I don’t develop bone cancer 😂 Though in the list of side effects it only says, “infections of other bacteria which cannot be treated with Chloramphenicol, optic neuritis, nerve weakness, allergic reaction, changes to blood, pain, irritation, and redness.” Yikes. Is it worth it?
