Wow!! Your video has been the most informative scoliosis video I’ve watched thus far. You are a wealth of information! You kept the video concise and to the point. Your information was followed with great explanations. I appreciate you giving us the dynamics behind the conditions- the “why” if you will…why the different conditions are the way they are and why we treat certain types of scoliosis or certain age groups that differ in the manner of tx. 😊 So, thank you for this fantastic video. I learned so much!!
love this video especially when the doctor said that he could tell that an impact happed in a young adult life but never got treated, this happened to me while serve in in the military. I was accepted with mild scoliosis (age 17) and suffered a trauma while serving in the military in the form of many slips and falls while serving on two aircraft carriers.
love this video and I listened to every word!! I was diagnosed about two years ago at the age of 16 with increased kyphosis. Because of my age, I didn't fit into a brace, so I did regular physical therapy for my back for six months. There was a small improvement but the pain prevented me from continuing treatment. Currently experiencing a lot of pain every day especially in the evenings that prevent me from functioning at the level that I just lie down. Recently I also have pain in my right knee (in the MRI they only saw fluid and a Baker cyst) and the knee physiotherapist discovered scoliosis (my right shoulder is not at the same height as my left shoulder) which she thinks is the cause of the pain.
This is by far one of the best videos that you have uploaded, thank you so much. It was so informational and helpful. I'm wondering if you have the information of any clinics in Arizona that are similar to yours that would be really helpful. Also I was wondering if maybe you could put a video out of what corrective brace works for said situation I know it's Unique for everybody but I'm wondering if there's a General chart saying this brace is good for this scenario versus this brace. I have the Providence brace but I don't know if that's the right one for me I didn't have a choice, my chiropractor sized me for it and that's what I got. I'm wondering if another brace would be more helpful for my situation it's only a nighttime brace I really feel like I need something during the day so all the work that's done at night time with the brace doesn't go to waste. I'm using a mix of things right now during the day to for the pain and to hold the work I do at night but it's something I concocted and I don't know what else to do I'm wondering if you have any information on braces or if you could put a video out on braces that are good during the day and ones at night that would be wonderful and if not I appreciate all the videos you put out they've really been helpful for me in my journey this past year and a half I don't know what I would do without them.
That would also be helpful for me as well. I was fitted for a brace also, but I don't know the name of it. It looks like a regular back brace with a piece of metal attached to it that goes underneath my left arm all the way down to my hip. It's the most uncomfortable contraption I've ever had in my life. My chiropractor told me it was a waste of time and money. He doesn't believe in braces. There's so much different information out here You don't know what to believe. Insurance paid for mine otherwise I couldn't afford a $5,000 brace. Also, it was a brilliant video explaining the different types of scoliosis. I had never heard that before either. It also makes sense that mine is degenerative in the lumbar. Most people say you had it as a child but I was checked in grade school and was told I didn't. Having degenerative scoliosis would make sense for me since after having an x-ray I was told that my lower spine had been fractured about 20 years earlier but I wasn't aware of it. My chiropractor viewed my MRI and told me that all my discomfort and issues all stemmed from that fracture. He could tell by looking at the MRI and he showed it to me. There is actually a little hump in my back where the fracture is but I don't know if anything could have been done about it if I had known anyway. Thanks so much for taking the time to do your videos. I sometimes feel so helpless, hopeless, and desperate because of the pain and feeling like there's nothing that can be done. At least knowing what you're working with can at least help define how to fix it hopefully. Thanks again so much.
