Great tips !! Cutting hair may not help the hair grow faster, but it does make our hair grow healthier without any damage hair/split ends. this Year, for some reasons, I decided to go for 1 year without cutting/trimming my hair lol Hope I'll make it!!!
Hey Amina , i’ve been natural for about 3 years now . I stopped getting perms when i was 11 and now i’m 14. About 5 months ago i decided i wanted my hair to be really curly & i was going to start wearing it curly . Not really knowing what i was doing i just did a half up half down style and the top part was in a bun and the bottom part was out . I went to ulta beauty & a stylist recommended mizani products which are expensive . They worked pretty good for the time being but the problem i had was getting the front of my head to curl , the back of my hair is doing so great and now 5 months later i used a cantu defining curling cream and a product by curly kids which does good for the back of my hair. The front of my head has a LOT of straight ends that i can’t seem to get rid of . I haven’t found any styles where i can train the front to curl . I need help . I wanna do a mini chop to the front of my head but i really don’t know where to start . Could u please help me cause i would love for my curls to look like yours !!!!
That last time at the dominican salon has my hair straight I was doing so good but my texturist mon wanted my hair straight so🤦🏾♀️ now time to cut really straight peices and use olaplex
Do you still straighten your hair every now and then? I'm contemplating going back to natural after I get back from study abroad trip since I just got my permanent Keratin treatment touched up. I miss being able to have the option to be curly or straight and I just don't know that I can commit to having my hair curly all the time.
I understand it is a big commitment! I personally haven’t straightened my hair since I started my transition 2.5 years ago and I think that’s the key to how quickly I was able to transition. Variety is great, but if you want to have healthy natural hair putting heat on it (especially when it’s already damaged) is going to set you back, BUT there are options to have straighter hair during your transition without damaging it. Let me know if you’d like to see some stretched out options!
Hi Amina i reali love your videos i have decided to go natural it's been 5 months now without heat but i reali need a few tips on wot to use for my hair for example wot shampoo i must use cause im little lost lol can u pls assist me with a few tips

I started this year but I do not want to do the big chop I only trim my hair I had started transitioning in May / June but have stayed away from heat for a very long time and my ends are straight while my roots are wavy...
hey amina i am natural and i have the 3 curl type (3a in the middle, 3b in the front and a mix of 3b and 3c in the back) i think that the back of my hair has a lack of protein but i am not sure because the frizz can also be because it is the driest part of my hair how can i be sure? thank you and sorry if i have any grammer mistakes i am in the prosess of lerning english :) btw your curls are amazing and beautiful just like you!
Thank you love! If your hair is feeling dry and frizzier in one section, I definitely recommend doing weekly deep conditioning treatments - with one or two of those being protein treatments each month (as needed). My drier section is at the crown of my head, so I'm a little more heavy handed with products in that section, and I seal my hair with an oil after styling to lock in the moisture. Hopefully that helps but let me know if you have any more trouble! :)
thank you! i fogot to say that i am deep conditioning my hair twice a week (when i wash it) and i am more heavy handed with products in that area i as well recently started doing protein treatments with coconut oil on that section i dont really see results so far.. btw even when i am heavy handed in that section it is still frizzy (less but still) and adding even more product doesnt work do you think i should continue with the protein treatments? or not? thx and sorry for the long massage love you:)
Great video. I am in my 8th month transitioning. I plan on doing my big chop on the 18th month. I have been trimming, however ever time i wash my hair i see straight pieces to the front of my hair and i cut it. Not sure if its a good idea since i have alot of uneven pieces to the front but it drives me crazy. Pray for me, this is not for the weak for sure..lol
It’s not for the weak for sure but you’re doing the right thing!! You can always get it evened out by a professional once your finished but I used to cut off my damage any time I felt the courage and ended up doing my mini chop 4 months early because of it! Do everything to your comfort and if you find that at 12 months or 16 months, you can part with all or maybe a big part of your damage, go for it! Best of luck and let me know if you have any transitioning Qs along the way! ❤️
I usually would only cut it dry because sometimes wet transitioning ends can get deceiving. However water and conditioner is just fine, and adding some oil will definitely help seal the dry ends
