OPEN ME! Hi guys! In todays video I show you how I trim my bangs at home. I also give some tips on how to hide your bangs when they're getting too long. If you're cutting bangs into your hair for the first time, I recommend going to a hair stylist so they can give you a good foundation and cut the bangs to suit your face. I am not a professional hair stylist, but this is how I've been trimming my bangs. Trimming your bangs at home will save you time and money. Plus it's pretty fun! I’ve been a hairstylist and colorist for 20 years. My mother is also a hairstylist, so I grew up around it…. And I think you did an awesome job cutting your bangs!! Since you are cutting with your right hand in a right to left motion always be aware of possibly making the left side longer. This is because it’s easy to cut in a downwards motion and also your scissors are pushing the hair which causes you to cut the hair longer. It was great that you held your bangs out from your forehead a little and point cut them. Holding them out creates a layer, rather then cutting them at zero degrees on your forehead. I like the look of a curtain bang. So I do like that you trimmed those side pieces, instead of growing them out.

Your bangs look beautiful! I trim my own bangs every other week or so, its just so fun haha. To anyone else watching this vid for encouragement to trim their own bangs, I highly reccommend getting some thinning shears! They make feathering the ends super easy & are a lot more forgiving than regular blunt shears. :)

Haha I can totally resonate with you each step of the way when you were cutting your bangs. Cutting the longer side strands is truly scary and tough especially on the right side but I guess it has to be cut sooner or later, otherwise it will blend with the other long hair behind your ears. It happened the same to me, took soooo long to grow the side strands out and regretted a bit after. Anyway it turned out beautifully for you 😍😍😍. PS. I think you did a great job, looks good. I haven't had my hair cut in a few yrs. I've been trimming my bangs for yrs. Accasionally I get a friend to trim the back. Rn my hair is about 3 feet long. Haven't had short hair in 28 yrs!!

Hey I'll just say go for it!!! Bangs really shape the face and make different features pop out more. they're not very hard to take care of nor bothersome if you choose a whisper, lighter cut, I love mine ^^ Just be sure you always trim little by little because you know the hair rule you can always take away but you can never put back😉 plus you always have the option of going to the salon but sometimes the cost is absolutely ridiculous for the little bit of hair they need to trim off🤦🏼‍♀️😂

Yes I always wash my bangs with shampoo only and blow dry then flat iron my bangs everyday or 2 days. I have ethnic cruly wavy hair but my bangs get very oily faster then the rest of my hair. Love your video as always 💕

I cut my bangs the same way you do. I am even growing out some of the sides as you are because I had way too much bang! I don't trim the sides; I am just letting them grow out, so it is a funny look. I tuck them behind my ears, but like you said, I just should have grown out all my bangs and started fresh.

Hi Sara my hair is really dry all the time and damaged I hate to put oil on my hair except when I get out of the shower and my hair didn’t grow at all in 2020 I got 1 trim which was in July but still no results. my hair is shoulder length but doesn’t look like it at all cuz they all go on different sides and I really don’t know what else to use for my hai r anymore
