Right - good power in the mid and butt of the rod, but light flexible tip so you can watch the cadence of the lure. If it changes, you either have a fish or something has fouled the hooks.

I do lead core line chrome umbrellas white glow 4” w 1/4 03 heads center a8 “ away from the rest white crank baits u can use trolling sinkers also 4 oz 20-40 is my target depth

They’ll set themselves 3 mph light leader I use my salmon rod and or walleye downrigger rod 20 lb test 25 against the spool lead core 20 on top 20 yards
