How To Troll For Walleyes On Gull Lake Brainerd, MN 

Dont know anything about trolling. Going to Perrault Falls Ontario in August. Can't thank you enough for the basic 'how to' Much appreciated. Keep up the good work. Simple and effective.

If you want to troll slower with your big motor, trim it way way up. The prop will take less of a bite in the water and that will slow you down some.

where im at yellow perch is also the best color. I use the jointed shad rap and shadrap rs and sometimes rapala taildancers.

Yeah the lake has sure changed. You’re not gonna go out there in the heat of summer and catch 20 walleyes now.

What live bait should i use now ?

Instead of using that shad rap you got there have you ever tried the Berkley Flicker Shad?

I need help choosing a walleye trolling rod for Mil Lacs. I want to use various Rapala's and 10lb braid for line. The Abu Garcia rep actaully recommended I try a Ugly Stik medium heavy (??). What weight rod should I try and also how fast of tip? The Ugly Stiks don't mention the tip of the rods, just the M or MH. Thanks for the help!

i have a cabin a quarter mile up the road from 4 seasons and fish that bar all of the time. I guess you stated 6 feet, but I have never caught a walleye in less then 10 and normally concentrate on 12-16 feet of water. Is this because you guys are fishing in august and i am more in June and July, and would this shallow method be effective in late june towards july? thanks.
