Thank you very much for covering this. I’ve been pretty hesitant to think about doing this but now that I’ve seen how it goes, it’s a lot faster and easier than I thought. Excited to see how this goes on the street. It’d be fun to see ole blue against the Plati. 😂 Also, has everyone given up on the process to break through the ECM? Obviously you can bench flash, but nothing beats the easy process of using the EZ LYNK. I’m hoping that’s still in the works even if it is just for emissions on tuning.

My 2020 F350 on a diet has engine and trans tune with sotf. Loving every minute of it. Up in Canada, very easy. Took 2 hours local guy. Never removed any ecm or nothing. Enjoy!

That's good that company flashes the newer trucks guess I'm stuck with my derated slow as a 🐌 2013 6.7 cab/chassis,330/660 I looked on there website nothing offered on ECU flashing Great videos keep up Excellent detail on all your MODS 👍👍👍👍👍

Im confused on what you said. You have a 13 which is easily deleted and tuned. Just need to find a tuner. They are out there but you will need to go to that person in person as they wont talk to you over phone or email.

Some tuning methods you only have to unplug the harness from the ecu. Comes with a pigtail harness that you plug into your computer, load your stock info, send that, receive the new tune, upload, and re plug ecu harnesses. Easy

Will this remove the speed limiter that says it is set by "My key"? Also, can I add a lift pump and or cold air I take without programming the truck? I'm thinking the lift pump will prolong the life of the CP4.

I would highly suggest using an ESD bag along with ESD pink bubble wrap. I would not use what you used as it wasn't ESD safe. That ECU isn't cheap so a few extra dollars in ESD wrap/ bag is cheaper that a static damaged ECU. Looking fwd to the next video!

Does old Dan the mad scientist not have any tunes for the 20+ powerstrokes? Also I’m worried about the new 10 speeds I hear they’re having problems. Excited to see the results though. FYI your diesel videos are the best on the tube keep at it brotha.

I just sold my 2020 and bought a 2018 because my 10 speed went out at 60k miles I had PPEI trans tuning on it which definitely helped shift quality and got me a little extra life outta her till she let go

Video game app tuning. If your are going through all the work of removing/shipping your ecu, find a good tuner that will tune your ecu/tcu for your location/elevation so you don't end up with a lame generic tune that will be locked just like stock.

I’m looking into getting a diesel love the powerstrokes but the research I’ve been doing for all this tuning setup, makes it look like it’s easier to work with a Cummins. Is really that more complicated on a Ford to do all the tuning with EZ lynk

I did my 21 through dirty diesels in BC Canada. Deleted and a 75 hp tune. I was very pleased with the process. Very fast shipping

Can you buy a new ECU so you can tune , but keep original stock so when your truck has to go to the shop . Or will ford still know you tuned it ????

I might be wrong but, I’m pretty sure the ECM is specific to each truck and engine unless another is programmed to your truck by ford. I think it runs off of the VIN#.

Your 2020 has a key? I thought majority of fords were all push button start with key fob. At least my 2020 superduty has a key fob.

How do you guys deal with reselling vehicles that are deleted? I had a dealer throw a tantrum over a deleted 6.0. Supposedly illegal for them to deal with?? 🤷‍♂️

That’s why you sell it outright yourself. Or do like I did and save your stock emission parts, so you can either put them back on or include them with your truck on trade in.

@@bryangoldsmith1238 Exactly what I did lol. But I told the dealer I bought it deleted. Some dealers can sell the trucks deleted, depending on the state. As they have zero proof on who did the delete.

why not have a core charge and just have a programmed ECU on hand and then send yours in for the core charge? not an option for them as a company? just a suggestion.

Do you want emissions on or emissions off? I have a guy local to me that has the pass threw box for those so I won’t need to send my ecm in. I was told that 22 they changed the security so one person said they can’t do it yet and another said certain ones can be done

Fuck it. I'm keeping my 2019. Nothing goes into my cylinders but air and fuel. No engine and fuel mileage killing exhaust gasses or CCV misdirected oil.

@@tprice3450 yeah definitely keep your 2019 I just got rid of my deleted and tuned 2020 powerstroke because the transmission went out at only 60k miles 🤦🏼‍♂️ The 10 speeds with their whole aluminum E clutch hub assembly are a joke!
