Long, long, LOOOOONG overdue Smoke'n Joe video!!! Sir, it's always a pleasure and great video to watch with you on it!! Hope life is treating you well, Sir!! Respect!! 👊💪
Not sure if I should be excited or petrified to watch the geek squad tune that 10k motor!! She looks awesome and sounds amazing….thanks for the hard work. Now send her home!!!!
I have a ThunderMax on my Dyna, awesome. I read articles, watched videos and tweaked my Air/Fuel vs RPM maps for a few years. When I reached the point where I did not want to push the map further and risk melting something I took my bike to a local dyno tuner with a national reputation and he got 10% more torque and horsepower.
When I started building engines and running big cams I looked into different tuners and Thundermax was an easy choice. I have 3 of them now and each one has been problem free and easy to work on.
Hell yeah... on the additional channel It's great to see ol Smoken Joe. Keep it spicy, guys! I'm out working on my 08 Night Train right now.....! And yes, I know it's no Dyna, but I'm too old now to do all that crazy shit ya'll pull off! ✌️
I ran about 8 diff auto tunes over about 1000mi on my Street Glide with thundermax 96 to 107in with 10.75:1 compression.. It was running great, but I wanted to check it out the next spring to verify the tune, and it was really close.. It went from 119hp/122tq to 123hp/126tq.. TBH, it ran a bit cooler on the thundermax tune as it was a tad more rich/safe IMO, so I switched back after about a month and also played with the low idle fuel, and spark to get the cams hitting hard AF, which is easy to do with the Thundermax.. The dyno was free as the guy owed me a favor, but I could feel the difference in heat on his tune and I'm really not worried about a few hp..
You guys kick ass. But the nerds won. And when we have an EMP attack, Billy Lane will be riding past you through the apocalypse at a comfortable 90mph on his flathead.
@@Dipndots87-ms6dsThe reason I prefer it is , I no longer have to take my bike back to a dyno after every mod. Also, the bike self tunes while riding In different environments. Go up a mountain or drive through a desert. It figures it out on the road. The software is simple to use.
Figuring out how to tune the old ass PC III that came on my ‘04 Dyna, after installing the stealth exhaust, I now realize I need to do som more shopping from you guys and get me a thundermax!
Drift cars, the yxz1000, and they make turbo and supercharger kits for them , so they rip hard, but after you get more power to it, it's a hole different game 😮
Hit us with a good tuning vid for the CV Carb my man! Pretty please. Especially for those of us that slapped in some 525s or something. Love your vids man! Thank you!
I sense Ryan and Trent are going to grow into having an in-house dyno like blockhead. Which would be dope af!!! But, on behalf of the Shadetree Army..... CURSES, @BLOCKHEAD!
Curious about the reasoning behind sending a bike with a Thundermax to a dyno. Granted, I know the base map for something like this build is going to be far off, but for tamer builds (cam jobs, exhaust and air cleaners, head work, etc.), couldn't you get away with re-writing everything the Auto Tune learns after a few riding sessions and skip the dyno altogether? Also curious if you'd be able to get away with running a Power Vision with the T-Max for the gauges
Trashed my tmax.... nothing but problems for me on my 07.... good company and a good product but not everything fits or works on all bikes. I did appreciate the simplicity of being able to tune with the tmax..... you have to take out all timing retardation.
After you do the run an auto tune session, and you write the automap, if you go into the different rpm ranges on the left, you can see the changes that were made and where they were. You can go in and adjust the ignition timing throughout the rpm range, it is super retarded when you flash a tmax basemap. Let us know if you play with the timing at all
Hey, I have a question. If I'm tuning my road king. And it was running rich. Should I change the plugs every time I make a change for more accurate readings?
Man I need a laptop. My bike ran like a raped ape when it was dyno tuned then I was doing some lighting install and pulled the main fuse and I didn't realize the initialization steps and I feel like it's not as quick and snappy like it used to be. Oh and it never backfired on decel now she pops more frequently
It’s very rare that that happens, but it is an electrical component and things do fail from time to time if you contact them, they will take care of you
You ain't got the right tuner then.. speaking of that mi e hit me up today and said got some new stuff bring ya bike by and I'll throw it in ya tune so u got the newest stuff!!!! #BLAZEPERFORMANCE blaze performance selma NC
"....I would start a cult...." like you don't already got us in your cult dude 🤣and C4 Energy really needs to step up their game and get on board the Kruesi train. Gotta sponsor the awesome shit you guys are doing.
