Amazingly detailed video! I was so into shooting my slingshot over a year ago but band tying definitely got me all frustrated but after watching this, I need a couple of extra tools and my technique was all wrong. Thank you for sharing your experience back to the community. I think I'm going to buy some of those acrylic taper templates.

Great Video! I learned a lot about band tuning from this one. I have a question about the material that you are using to tie the bands to the pouch, is that just plain cotton butcher thread, or is it waxed leather thread like in your constrictor knot video?

Very helpful information to help people understand the concept. Separately do you notice shifts in your aim and impacts (POA POI) between different bandsets? Your a short draw guy, similar thinckness bands at the same taper can give me quite different aim points not sure if it's something exaggerated by using long bands, but atleast some of my tuning now is to find the rough aim point/trajectory I want. Keep doing what you do, your one of the guys helping get newcomers into the sport.

Love your vids, Mark. I've got a question for you since i know you're very experienced. Is your eye really at risk from a band breaking? Let's exclude return to senders because if you're shooting properly that wont happen. I'm talking about the band breaking and hitting your eye. You and many others don't wear safety glasses, neither do i. Basically i'm asking, are our eyes at danger when using a slingshot?
