One of the best parts about adapting a toy or repurposed trash piece for terrain is how easily you can camouflage the entire thing just by covering or detailing the edges. The thickening of the broken pieces implies the rest of the wall being thicker, and the viewer's mind fills in the rest. Nice results!

Loved the video, takes me back to my Rogue Trader days scratching bits together for scenery. One idea about resin pours. If I've a base similar to the one you used in the video, you could use bathroom sealent rather than hot glue to secure the plastic with wooden strips screwed into the base to help seal it against leaks.

@@Mike_Jones1980 The condition is okay. Some parts are missing, like stickers, tubes and figures. And of course the original packaging and instructions, if the set had any. In this condition I've found it multiple times on ebay on a price around 30 €, so not more expensive than any terrain from GW 8even less so, considering the size). Of course you can also find the same set for triple digits on the price tag, but that's totally over value, except perhaps if the set is still in mint condition.

Biggest thing I've seen someone like Luke Towan use for resin pours is to use pva glue and tape. so you apply the pva around the edge where you're going to scrape and prep for painting anyways and then apply the tape around the edge letting the glue make the water proof seal. Works great for small parts of the edge. Otherwise for full resin pours i've seen people use clear plastic and more glue.

Loved the broken river ice out of CDs, and your approach to snow, sprinkling it from above like actual snow, instead of stippling it on like cake icing, was refreshing and really sold it. I know you said you wished you'd colored the river, but icy winter rivers are dark, almost black, and it looked very convincing to me; after watching this I felt a need to put on a sweater.

Unless I'm aiming for a deep pour, I've found that High Gloss Polyeurethane is a better option than resin. The stuff you can find in a craft store in what looks like a large bottle of craft paint. It's very thick when you go on and can work to keep it from going over the edge, but flows well enough to fill things in if you're just a bit careful there
