This is really incredible and helpful. And very generous. And the masters you are choosing are the greatest choices. I like Paolo Rivera at Marvel Comics, and his studies took him to Watts Atelier in San Diego. Beautiful work.

I wasn't familiar with Paolo Rivera and am now following him, he colours traditionally! Pretty cool. I watch a lot of Bobby Chiu and Richard Friend's channels to learn more about upcoming comic and concept artists, I'm sure I'll find an interview somewhere with Paolo to watch. Cheers!

This painting by Leyendecker reminds me of "I saw Mommy kissing Santa Claus under the Mistletoe", written by Tommie Connor in 1950 and first recorded by Jimmy Boyd in 1952. Leyendecker painted this in 1948, but it's very possible it was based on the song, as it was recorded many times after the original recording in 1952.
