It WORKS GUYS!! We went two weeks without using our RV bathroom and went to different places just because of the clog. We had no idea what to do until we stumbled across this vid. A few tips ⬇️ 1. I couldn’t find the female hose pex adapter he used in the video, so instead at Home Depot I bought a 3/4 in. FHT x 1/2 in. plumbing fitting for the pex pipe, alongside a 3/4 in basic 50’ hose and it worked great. 2. Be sure to light the pex pipe with some sort of flame so it can squeeze in the fitting 3. I bought a 10 foot 1/2” pex pipe and asked the people at Home Depot to cut it to 7 ft, although I still had to pay the price of a full 10 ft. 10 ft was way too long. 4. When I got back to the RV, I actually didn’t need water right away and the blockage actually broke after jamming it a few times with the pex. I then turned the hose on and kept jamming it for about 5-8 minutes. I then opened the valve and voila… waste heaven! 😅 5. Be sure to not use regular home tissue but ONLY rv tissue, make sure the valves are closed until ready to dump even when connected to sewer, and hold the flush for a few seconds so enough water can go down with the waste. 6. Maybe add a porta pak or some other waste digestive system to clear out any excess in the tank
Thank you so much I’m 19 and own my trailer no one in my family has one that they live in so needless to say when mine got clogged I was worried it would really cost me ! I was able to do this fix it myself and learn how to prevent it for less than 10$ and not even 15 mins!! This video saved me so much time money and worrying! But needless to say I’ll be keeping a better eye on my little nephew in the bathroom 🤦♀️
This is by far the best video out here about this, thanks a million. Love the no nonsense video, no cutsie music or husband and wife fakery team bs. My tank is clogged near the outlet so I will do this. Must be dirty as hell when you pull the pipe out of the toilet. I'll have an industrial size garbage bag available. I'm a full-timer, so this is great!! ----also love how you fire up the torch in your RV!!
We've lived in a fifth-wheel 80% of the time since 2000. Just recently did we encounter our first clog! This way worked great! Thanks for making this helpful video!
We tried everything short of calling in specialists, and nothing worked - this method had us fixed in no time flat 👍 this video deserves so much credit, thank you!!!
You solved a really "crappy" problem! Built my own personal blaster 8' long and it had us back up and running in no time!! One if the best tips I have seen in sometime!! Thanks so much!!
Tried your method today and it totally worked. It took some time but after about 20 minutes poking around with a 7 foot section of 1/2 inch pipe I finally unclogged our black tank. We were at the point of looking for dog friendly hotels. Thank you!
OMG, this finally solved our problem. Fighting a clog with various chemical and snakes with barely any movement.... but this worked. Took about an hour from start to finish once we got the hang of it. Running smooth now :) Thanks for the help!!
Just unblocked and cleaned my black tank this way. Bought 10' x 1/2" pex (Home Depot $4) and a 1/2" female garden hose end (Ace HW $9) to connect to water hose. Worked like a charm!!
Bless your heart! It worked. But I used RV to live in in retirement. Had to replace the AC, had to replace the fridge coming not to mention the 9,000 little Diddley things I've had to do and then the freaking toilet stops up. I tried several things before I ran across your video and then I went to home Depot and bought the PEX pipe. I didn't even have to hook up the water just rummaging around the bottom with the pipe unclogged it.
Bought a 10-ft stick of PEX for four bucks and a shark bite half inch to half inch threaded connected it to my bathroom shower head hose turned on the water and did what you told me to do. The toilet unclogged in less than 30 seconds. This was an awesome video thank you!
Just want to say that your solution saved my bacon. Blocked up black water tank. First time rv.owner, didn't know to leave black tank drain valve closed while hooked up on the water. Flushed it out loke you showed, worked like a charm. Thank you, God Bless.
It worked thank you so much i was about to lose my s^ no pun intended after a week of this i was searching for repairs guys you saved me time and money again thank you
Your method absolutely works. I tried many other tricks and got nowhere. With your trick it unclogged in a couple of minutes. I went a little overboard and got 2 5ft pieces of pex tubing and coupled them together with a hose fitting on the end, because my trailer has a long drop down into the tank, which made it kind of hard to manage with the hose attached. So in hindsight 5ft would've been enough. Either way it worked like a champ, thank you... A side note, because my tank was full almost to the toilet, I ran the pex down with no water at first, as soon as I saw the water level drop, I turned the water on and moved the pex around in all directions and kept doing it until the water in the bottom of my tank was clear...
Stool softeners and drinking lots of water helps too. Let's face it, the food you eat while vacationing in your travel trailer, makes for some beer can sized clay bricks. Those thinks are prone to sticking to the bottom of the tank and slowing everything down. Also, use a bidet and greatly cut down on TP.
Will this work even if the clog is backed up into the toilet. We can’t add water. Our toilet won’t even drain at all now. Snake didn’t work. Chemicals did nothing. I’m gonna try this because it’s my last hope.
36 seconds in and I'm laughing bc after trying all manner of RV chemicals, and a thin metal piece, I was walking with a piece if H mould that I had cut and saw the PEX and thought 💭 cap one end and feed it down until it budges. I even dreamed it in the short nap that I had today. And now here you are telling about using PEX.
So glad I watched. Turned out I just had some paper at the top "valve" bit and didn't have a problem at all! But I made DARN sure I put quite a bit of water in! Thanks!
I just fill the tank, go outside and beat the hell out of the bottom the tank with my hand as I'm draining the tank. Poopoo and tp come flying out with ease.
This works great. BUT EVEN EASIER, buy a can of ether. Shoot the ether down the toilet. For about five seconds. Then toss a match down the hole. Waterproof matches work best. Even a BBQ lighter works. Whump! DONT FORGET TO HAVE THE BLACKWATER DRAIN OPEN. otherwise you're gonna blow shit apart. If you do this method, pls post the video of it. ;)
