This is a perfect tutorial. clear voice, well constructed sentences, straight to the point without ignoring important information. Quite frankly i am impressed. Thanks.

Best explanation I've heard on this subject, very comprehensive without being time consuming. THANKS for taking the time to explain this, I finally understood the octal permissions!

FINALLY someone that has a properly EQ'd microphone, easy to read at lower resolution, and that does NOT suffer from the "I'm doing a video on RU-vid, so I'll deliver it like a Techno-Club DJ on 5 RedbBulls" syndrome. Thanks!

Great video particularly like the comment at 4:50 "Willingness to work on the command line environment. Some people like to point, click with a mouse. If this is you, this isn't probably for you" :-)

In order to do that, you must use ACLs. I can't post links in comments, but if you search on "set default acls in linux", you should find several articles showing you how to do it. Good luck!

I am having an issue that after using the chmod command u-w, if I read the file and save it using the command :wq!, it overwrites the file, Is there any way to prevent from overwriting. Thanks.
