I did mine the same way but I put them in a big freezer baggie instead of a container.

Have you tried using a heat gun to remove the tires? Also, are you going to cut and sipe the tread for the Canyon Trails? 🤓

So if the acetone can melt plastic then this is probably no good for plastic wheels to remove the tire?

Depends on the type of plastic. Traxxas wheels seem to be OK although they lose their finish. The only wheel I've had trouble with was the scx24. They completely dissolved. But I didn't want them anyways 🙃 thanks for the comment
