Thanks Adam! I have the issues that you have had and more. I've been trying to get Fisker to respond. And I'm not going to lie, they haven't been responsive.
Love my One. Good info: Two recommendations, please cut out the background music. It's hard to hear you sometimes and distracting. Also do the video and show the battery is out or the fob. This will show people the car can still challenge the fob via RFID/NFC even with a dead fob battery.
I know everyone says its a FOB issue, but it seems like its really a car sleep issue. The key on the handle works. Here are two other ways Ive found work at getting into my One: 1) Hit the lock button several times until you hear the car lock and "wake up" - then hit unlock and it will open 2) Hit unlock, WAIT 5 seconds, then hit unlock again. This usually works. All in all, its not terrible and definitely fixable via OTA. Just hope that update comes sooner rather than later.
After owning my Fisker Ocean Ultra six months I noticed that when every I get in my Fisker in the morning in side my garage the temperature inside my car is very warm. Is this normal with all electric cars? - is the heat coming from the battery pack while sitting in my garage over night? - I never experienced this with my Gas car. It’s always cool inside this car.
Good to know. Similar to a Tesla key card. I think Key fobs just dont work as well on EV cuz the EV falls asleep. An issue i get with my Tesla frequently is that it cant start via app cuz weak or no cellular data. Then I need the key card.
Hey Adam. My 12V died on my ONE. I opened the hood, charged the 12V. Only way I got in the car was using the app to open the trunk. Crawled through & opened the door. Key fob not recognized when I tried starting. Replaced the battery. No luck. Thoughts? Thx
My Nissan has a proximity key, if I have it in my pocket for some time, it needs a little jingle before it will work sometimes. I think it does this to prevent unintended key presses when in pocket or just to conserve battery life
Some newer keys deactivate after a certain amount of time without motion to prevent someone from being able to unlock your car in the street and drive away just by walking by your house with a radio antenna and repeater. Wonder if Nissan implemented something like that.
That would be really bad right now. Make sure you get the app set up and working so you can at least lock/unlock the car from your phone. But you'd have to contact fisker radgivers and hope they respond timely for a new fob
Customer support has been non existent. Have been trying to get a hold them for 6 weeks. Stopped by their physical location and was told to submit a case - still haven’t heard back. Not sure how the public can trust this company…
Battery dies constantly, the thing is a total piece of garbage. We've been locked out, car won't start, total joke. Have had to reset the screen, many many service calls. If you want this car wait 2 years
