For everyone having difficulty hearing or feeling the change when rotating the tumblers, make sure you are pulling pretty hard on each side. The harder you pull, the more of a change in sound you will get. Secondly, if you aren’t hearing a change, it probably means that the previous tumbler is not correct. Make sure you are starting from the letter on the farthest right side and move to the left.
I thought this was a load of crap lol if you really want the lock open just act as if you will win 1 million dollars, and your spidey senses will heighten 🕷
The video is very helpful In that it help me realize this technique was easier to do if you start from the left. Got it in about 90 seconds total but only 20 seconds once I started from the left. Thank you.
You are my hero. I just bought this lock for my son today. He set the code, told me the code… and then an hour later changed it to “something silly” and forgot it. 🤦🏻♀️ Turns out he changed it to “DERP” …I’m pretty sure I will be using that word in a few conversations with him in the near future. 😂

If you are having trouble hearing or feeling the change in the tumblers when trying this method, try lubricating between each ring with some 3 in 1 oil or equivalent. This will allow the rings to spin more freely and I have found that this makes the code easier to find.
Thanks for the key for finding the "Key" to my WordLock cable lock. I used the cable lock to safeguard the spare tire on my boat trailer.......an easy thing for someone to walk away with. I had set a code but forgot to write it down. Now, a year later, we are getting ready to tow the boat to Florida and I don't have the code for the cable lock. Your method gave me the code "BOAT" on the first try. Your method was a snap....thanks for posting.
Worked for me - less than 30 seconds. Even when I opened it, i do not recall setting it to that word! Thank you! Now its in the trash as it is a terrible lock lol
For those of you with a WordLock bike lock where the letters are vertical, underneath the combo disks, there is a small pin used to reset the code. Pull the (part) that locks into the code adding tension, pull the “pin” on the bottom to increase tension and start spinning the disks. Hope this helps.
So i bought this bike at a thrft shop with the lock on it. It Worked for me also... Had to do a second round on 5 min twisting. The 2nd time i decided not to look but just feel what clicked. The password was MINE . ☺very clever idea. Thank you

This absolutely worked! Lucky for me but now I don't know that f to can trust the brand for my bike lock!! I could not for the life of me figure out my wordlock. It's even a different version of a wordlock lock, more like for a locker. It took me 4 tries and finally tried again without looking at the letters. I'm blown away. I would never have guessed what I set the passcode as.
I couldn’t do it but my 18 year opened it is less than 3 minutes. It was not our lock either. It came with a garage sale bike I bought and they had forgotten the code. I had to lube it with ATF first to make the spinning easier. Thank you.

I found a 4 combo number lock as a kid and figured it all out myself. Most recently my old word lock just won’t open- I spent over an hour doing the almost 10k combos. I think my family glued it..

Thanks for that it worked. I bought the lock and accidently threw out the code then when I looked in the rubbish and saw what I had to search through to find it I decided to search RU-vid instead for an option lol.
Gotta love RU-vid vids..... got mine open in 10 seconds..... saved me from having to buy a new lock. I have a different model but it worked just the same. ON second thought maybe I SHOULD get a different one since thieves prob know this trick...hmmmm. Thank you for sharing.
it seriously worked, i was so excited literally jumped out of my chair in excitement jumping up and down. Its been 5 years since I locked it. LOL craziness cant believe it Should have known it was the word TUTE aka my husband not stope TUTE
My bike has been stuck to my wordlock lock for 6 years. I just tried your me method using this video and it didn’t work. How can I tell for sure when a letter gets in place? I’ve tried a full rotation starting on each end while pulling on both black sides and it didn’t work. Help?
My lock didn't make any different sounds, I even had the lock to my ear, what worked for me is setting the last dial to a letter and then spinning the second to last dial until I felt something and when I didn't feel anything I set the last dial to something else and repeated until I finally felt a subtle but obvious shift and then I just repeated those steps for the first two dials and figured the second part out within a minute.
my first try was a failure coz i tried right to left. Then i tried left to right and it work!! Opened it in 3 mins. I keep hearing the loud click whenever i turned the word lock. My password i put was MAST... i was trying to open this thing for two years now.. i finally haha
I'm trying and trying and no luck at all I have e the same manufacturer lock and it's new I just bought it it was working I reset the password and it's not opening
Jelly squid29 - sorry to hear. I can only say that it is critical to hold continuous pulling during the process. You really need to turn the tumblers slowly and try to feel when the “click” feels different. Good luck.
Sooo what is it you are supposed to listen for? A loud click, or no click. Also what causes the change in rotation? I’m calling bs mine just clicks and never opens.
Thanks dude it worked but I use a different Ish way u pull hard and move the lock and it it's harder to push for the other ones it means u got the code, if that didn't work the do it the other way around
When I was trying to unlock it I was thinking of my name and then I tried it and it didn’t work. And then I thought of another nickname I have and it unlocked
