Omg thank you so much! I play the sims 4 and i download mods for it all the time, but sometimes the files are zipped and the mods go corrupt so this helped me a lot.
Thank you 💕💕💕 I was having trouble with a zipped folder and was so confused, you just helped me realize I unzipped the folder four times before. But thank you now I can continue on my project
I've been using computers as long as I remember, so I don't really need this tutorial (I came here from a Reddit post lol), but I just wanted to say that this is a wonderful tutorial for those who need it. Clear and concise while also covering everything.
Thanks for this. My dash cam has a firmware update. Manufacturers talked me through the steps. But weren’t telling me to UNZIP the file. Until I searched for the user manual. And started asking how to unzip the firmware. After weeks of number of emails and useless help from them, Your 2 minute video did it and shown me how to unzip it. Now my dash cam is now updated. All thanks to you on showing how to unzip files. Well done. 👍👍 You earned a subscriber. 👏👏👏
Thank you! I don't know why but I didn't really understand it until I watched your very simple explanation. I've been a bit intimidated about digital files and the "zipped" and "unzipped" part of it. Perfect! I'm going to try and unzip some now!
Omg tysm! I play the sims 4 and like to download mods and things and never knew how to unzip folders and my winzip thing doesnt work so thank you so much!
You confirmed why I came here. The instructions on a web page said to "unzip the folder." But my options on right click of the zipped file said "Extract All". So now I know, this is the same thing!!!
Thank you so much for this straightforward and easy to follow tutorial - just downloaded a guitar backing track which was compressed - this worked perfectly to get it onto my music player - much appreciated

Thank you sooo much, this helped a lot for my sims 4 gameplay. I reccomend the life’s drama mod, (ps that’s what I was downloading) it’s truly amazing and adds a lot of fun to my gameplay
I compressed a video to zip file..didn't know what I was doing. I went into the zip file..sent the file inside the zipped file to recycle bin. Wen to the bin and restored the file. Went back to the video, wont play. Went to the zip folder, and no file there. So what do I do???
@@teki--536 you can actually manually unzip and extract files manually without any winrar software, figured this out and it helped me save my computer from getting another software, just search on RU-vid
There is a (software??) file at Sourceforge called WaoN. It is a GZ file. How should I open it? Do I download Winzip; click the GZ file; (a box opens asking "how do you want to open this file?"); scroll down the program choices and hopefully find Winzip: select it and the GZ file should blossom out into the program I am wanting . Have I got the ritual correct, please? If not, please explain in step by step fashion. Thank you.
It is possible that your OS does not recognise the contents of the folder as being a valid file type. This might cause an issue. Have you contacted the Windows support team?
This was a huge help! I produce music (beginner level right now) and I couldn't figure out how to get drum samples into my DAW! Thank you so much for clearing this up for me! It's so simple!
